The thing is Kids don't say those hateful comments out of nowhere, they probably heard it or saw how their parents or family members reacted to mixed people and so they replicated it. It's honestly so sad that due to that children go through traumatic expiriences like Minseok's. Adults should be mindful of what they say and how they act towards other people, specially when in front of children cause you teach by setting an example and if that example is negative the Child will replicate that and hurt others. It's not difficult to be respectful to others and apreciate and celebrate the differences instead of shaming people for being different

We need more programs like this. Times are changing and I hope the thoughts and actions of narrow-minded people will also change.

Being in Kenya and I watch Korean, American, and all kind of shows as long as it makes me happy makes me a proud Earthian

exposing your kids to culture and teaching them about diversity and racism at a young age is one of the best things you can do for them honestly. as corny as it sounds, this world belongs to all of us and even though we all come from different backgrounds, have different skin colors and speak different languages, we are all just human beings who deserve to be loved, appreciated and respected.

It's not only on our shoulders, it's on everyone's shoulders. Especially the older generation that's holding onto outdated beliefs.

I hope they stay friends for a long time 😭 I’d love to find friends like them.

"The person who said that must regret saying it now." Doubtful, that girl doesn't remember doing/saying that at all because it meant nothing to her and she probably did it to other people as well. Bullies usually forget (unless hurting someone felt good enough to remember) but victims never do.

When the Filipino guy was explaining his story of abuse, the woman in the studio justified the abusers actions by saying 'I'm sure they regret what they said now'. 🤦🏽‍♂️ How can you say that with so much certainty. People don't automatically stop being racist when they're older. If anything, it could be worse now!

This channel allows those to speak up, who wouldn't normally have the " voice" to do so! To give them a sense of encouragement, bravery, hope, and friendship! I love this! Not only, does it allow people to tell their hurt in Korea , but it also helps educate those who lack knowledge of certain things. Its simple : treat people the way you would like to be treated! Love the content, cast , and editing! Very powerful video!!

As a mother of 2 half korean kids, i bawled. Times are changing but not as fast as they need to. Hopefully, it changes soon. My son just stared mainstream school, as of yet, nothing too bad. I honestly do not know what id do as a mother if anyone called my kids worthless.

This show sometimes irritates me, they don't really have to be koreans to be respected. Like the last philipino kid said, we are all humans from earth. They must respect them. Nationality shouldn't define if the person has the right to come at you or not. But they don't seem to point that out, they just keep saying am Korean

There are many Koreans who live, work, and study in the Philippines, too. How would Koreans feel if they and/or their family members were told they're even more worthless than trash? We all need to keep in mind the most basic natural law: treat others as you'd like to be treated. Respect begets respect, and trust and love are that way, too. Hate should have no place in this world...and that's something that's become even more important in these pandemic times. Kudos to this show! I pray you're able to help everyone realize that being proud about your own country, race, culture and everything that goes with it is not mutually exclusive of other countries, races,cultures and everything that goes with it being good, too.

the fact that this channel is taking this initiative to get rid of such social evils itself is a big step towards a brighter future for the upcoming generations

This is why it is important to teach kids the basic values of equality so they can be more accepting while they grow up. Parents, teachers and adults plays an important role in shaping their minds and hopefully it is always for the better.

The world admires Korean culture so much but instead of trying to learn and accept other cultures that admire them, it seems to me some Koreans use the admiration of their culture as a way to prove they are superior to the rest of us.

How kids treat other kids, is the direct result of their parents' teaching. In kindergarden, I had a friend who was obese. I never gave it a thought and still mostly remember her smile. Many years later, my mother told that my friend's mother had come up to her one day to thank her for my friendship. She said some of the other kids shunned her daughter because she was overweight. My parents taught me kindness and fairness - children do not get judgmental by themselves.

I just hope that people learn from this program and Change the way they think too I hope they get educated I really love this program

wow i can't believe some things people say to these kids... Even as a 5 yo I understood that you shouldn't judge people by their skin color or appearance so being young isn't an excuse. It's really just about who's raising you.

I was labelled as useless by few friends and 1 of the teacher at primary school because I'm kind of different and slow learner back then. But now I'm a doctor and specialised in Occupational Health, I'm doing well now. I even treat that teacher during my training in Hospital...deep inside I felt satisfied and grateful that I proved them wrong

When I saw „Final Part“ in the title I thought, „What? Already?“. And why does 10 minutes go by so quickly when I‘m watching these series? (this and the one with the teenagers) I have mix-raced children, too, but they have not experienced any racism here in Europe that I know of. Racism is so insidious not only to the victims but also to the perpetrator. It damages both heart and mind slowly but surely if it goes unchecked. It is good that these kids found the strength within themselves and support in their families and friends. Please have more programs like this.

It would be really great if more kdramas represented multicultural Koreans and also if colourism was addressed in a kdrama because I notice comments about not wanting to be ‘dark or tanned’ in some kdramas some times and I think addressing that it’s damaging in a kdrama script would go a long way.

I'm a mother of 2 half Korean kids living in S. Korea. It's true that sometimes the elders can be quite racist but I can see that the younger generation is improving. My son's kindergarten has 3 mixed kids and no kids talk about how their friends look different. And I can see younger moms on the playground teaching their kids that their friends can look different and that's cool. I hope Korea would be better when my sons grow up, as a parent my heart breaks to know that they have to hear such painful words as kids.

I really love this kind of program.

I agree with the lady who called them assets. I feel the same way. Knowing multiple languages, cultures, etc are all strengths not weaknesses. It must be bittersweet for these kids they faced so many hardships but also they're blessed with a multicultural background and raised by wonderful open minded parents who taught them love and acceptance 💜 I hope one day the world can be united and learn to accept, love, embrace and respect all of our wonderful differences. Honestly language and culture is so interesting and if we'd only focus more on learning about other cultures I think that would be a major step in learning to accept and understand one another :) We should be more like animals. They don't see their differences in the way we do, a german shepherd doesn't see a dalmatian and go "ew, he's different than me. his coat has different colors" etc, he only sees another dog. Ffs we've got dogs and deer, baby horse and bunny, and many more all becoming friends too. And to think some people actually look down on animals like they're below us when it seems they are showing better example than us in many ways.

I am from Northeast India,and we look different from mainland Indians and so we are discriminated and treated differently.I just wish people learn to respect others no matter how they look.

As a person who worked with new immigrants who came to America, as a volunteer , I would like to say this experience is not unique to korea. My heart broken everytime when a kid whose first language was not English (usually Spanish), was faced with not just racism but hatred, taught by xenophobic bigots of parents, for not being speaking English but also being accused of being "bloodsuckers", invaders who use resources and not give back (which is not true).

What a great program. I wish change would be easy although it’ll always be difficult. But little by little things may open up by continuously educating others through platforms like this and those with influential platforms continuously raise awareness about this too, although there is still certainly a long way to go. But anyway proud of these people , they are so strong to live a life with these experiences. This is what builds their identity and sets them apart , which makes them even stronger people that they are today💪🏼 😌 best wishes to them👍🏼

Why are young children so cruel to one another? Pain from brutal comments like calling someone garbage stay with you. I hope over the years that individual has reflected on themselves and has become a better person.

In any society, prejudice and judgement will be always there. What's good is that we are able to look back, talk about it and learn from it. I really like this show as it shows realities that people might have thought of as non existent.

Glad shows like this exists...keep it up. You are making a difference. And I hope will wake up and see through skin color, race or gender.

1:35 I definitely disagree with that, even if little kids have never seen anyone who looks really different from them it's still weird that they immediately think that looking different is bad or something. They just aren't raised well, their parents must haven't thought them not to judge other people by how they look and that there are people who look different. It also has a lot to do with Korean culture but I'll leave it at that.

When i was a kid, i like seeing foreigners not because i find them odd but im amazed how diverse the world is...making me want to see more what this world can offer. Imagine a world without superior or inferior race, a world where those who have plenty and strong help the lacking and weak, those who are weak strive to get strong while the strong ones cheer for them.

There are various ways kids learn to mistreat their classmates. TV shows, their parents, from other kids at school and on the playground, older siblings or cousins, etc. It's parents' responsibility to teach their kids to not treat others badly because of their differences. They have to be an example to their kids by treating people right.

I have not watched long into this video and i keep hearing excuses all around. We need to stop making these excuses. It only justifies why children and adults alike continue to do these racist acts they do. Do you think those children grew up knowing white from black? If not because they learnt it from those around them? Especially their parents for a start. They dont know ,they dont know, but the abuse continues. I love it, I'm sure that we, as parents should be the safest place to our kids. I'm Peruvian and my partner is Chinese, we live in Italy and there is so much racism here, being a multicultural family add more pepper to the soup but, i can only see how much possibilities kids have in this family, they are growing up knowing the bases to be good people. We are all different and unique, differences make our lives special and we could learn a lot from them. They are the third generation here and i know they will face bad situations, they already did but being just kids they don't care, it will hurt more in a couple of years and that's why i have to prepare them. It's hard to hear bad words and to push the anger inside, we just ask why? What did I do wrong?. When i met someone from a different background, i take it as an opportunity to learn, to improve my knowledge and to add another point of view. When i talk with my kids i say them that we have a great blood heritage, a huge history behind us and that's precious, they will keep writing our history, meeting new people and going to new places, we are earhians, that's a fact, they were born here, they are growing up bere, their mother tongue is Italian but, they are also half Peruvian and half Chinese, I'm teaching them both languages, I'm teaching them both three cultures, sharing a part of their friends cultures and languages too. They are growing up open minded, without prejudices, we have a super multicultural family, one is blond, one has afro hairs, we are all different and that's beautiful, they are growing taking differences as normal and as a huge opportunity to improve.
