This would be a terrible draft. Pearsall is only being talked about in the 2nd because of one catch. I’m a die hard gators fan. He’d be a good pick in the 3rd
@OmaAlkebulan-grace3 ай бұрын
Exactly 💯
@adamlegion133 ай бұрын
I don’t disagree with where you want to place him on your board, but I’m not hearing anything about that one catch. Analysts are high on him because of elite route running, and having established an already complete NFL route tree. That’s all they talk about, along with sure hands and decent athletic scores.
@tonychan97523 ай бұрын
I hope I am wrong but writers I trust rate Barton as a 3rd rounder because he plays too high and goes to the ground too much. We will probably regret not taking JPJ like we lost out on Landon Dickerson 4 years ago.
@robertlong70333 ай бұрын
Checking out what you said and you're right When he makes a block he's more often not falling down on top of the guy rather than actually blocking him.
@RackyRocoon3 ай бұрын
@@robertlong7033 Just went back again and looked at the clips of Barton on SD. Uh... sorry, guys, but I'm not seeing it. What I'm seeing is a beast, great power, leverage, and speed, getting to the second level quickly and knocking guys' blocks off. Mims, OTOH... I have great concerns that he's a boom or bust type. And JPJ... I don't know, if a guy can be TOO big, it's him. I worry about his injury history...
@mc19933 ай бұрын
We didn't lose out on Dickerson, who is a guard that went 37th overall, we lost out on Creed Humphrey who is a center that was sitting there with our 55th pick (right after we drafted Najee), and we picked Muth which was a lose/lose pick. Speaking of, 2022 draft we had center Tyler Linderbaum sitting there with our 20th pick, and we chose Pickett...another lose/lose pick.

@findle703 ай бұрын
Dale Lolle had really good discussion about how the current CBA 5th year option function affects taking a center in the 1st round. Since all OLs are considered in the same bucket, if you take a center in round 1, you will be forced to pay them the same as a tackle either picking up that option or the starting negotiating standpoint for a extension. Do you want to pay your center the same money as tackle? That's a tough one for me. Two other things I've thought about going into this - apparently Jackalope fans have reported that McCormick definitely did a lot of practice work at center, even game prep. I like watching him a lot, seems to be quick on his step out and punch. Lastly, the big variable no one knows about - Spencer Anderson has been in the org a year, worked a ton at center last summer, and got good reviews from people who watched him. We don't know what the team feels about him going into yr 2. So I'm less and less the 'get the top 3 guys or you're screwed for the year' mindset at this point. I really want one of the stud tackles. It's such a more rare commodity to find, esp in the mid-late 1st rd.

Barton played some RT very early at Duke (don't think ever in a game) but he'd be drafted to play C.
@johnwetzel10483 ай бұрын
@@Alex_Kozora He played center as a freshman and OT the next 3 years. We need one of the top 3 centers in the draft. Not a converted OT.
@pathutchison76883 ай бұрын
I kind of hope you’re wrong about at least the first 3 choices. I think Barton would be a massive reach at 20 and not a fan of Persal either. Seems very underwhelming.
@KevinPrimus3 ай бұрын
Conference-wise… Lots of ACC representation! (I’m gonna include Notre Dame here opportunistically, since they’re officially independent)
@pathutchison76883 ай бұрын
Now way you thought Fuatanu would still be there at 20. Much better reality than mock here.
@tazer7043 ай бұрын
I'd be pretty happy with this draft. My only question is at pick 51, do you not like Legette or do you just think he's definitely gone at that point?
@Meneszoe3 ай бұрын
Your probably better than me a evaluating talent but this draft seems a bit conservative and need based instead of talent I feel like they should go best player available
@mjb_333 ай бұрын
Trade down in round 1 and grab Frazier. No mention of Legette as a round two WR option? Would love ILB Gray at 3b, but give me a NB at 3a (Sainristil, Phillips, or Green - id add Melton, but imo he'll be drafted in round two). Round 4 ill take OT Glover out of Georgia St. Round 6a DT Logan Lee, round 6b SS Taylor out of Army, Perry and Watts are potential options there too. Anyway, thanks AK, I appreciate all you do for us Steelers fans
@MrFreshEdition3 ай бұрын
Steelers not moving back in the Draft as stated on other Steelers mock Drafts. They have 4 picks of the 1st 98 selections. Based on the Arthurs Smith Run Heavy Offense they want to employ they will draft Tackle and Center with pick 20 and 51 and use the two third round picks and draft a Physical Blocking WR and CB.
@mjb_333 ай бұрын
@MrFreshEdition I believe that they will move down in round 1 and select Frazier. I also believe that they will then follow that up by using the fourth acquired via trade down to move up in round two or three. Opinions are like mock drafts and (censored), we all have one. 1) C Frazier (trade down w/ TB or AZ) 2) WR Legette 3) NB Sainristil 3) ILB Gray 4) OT Glover 6) DT Lee 6) SS Taylor (the safety, not the punter) *Looks like we're trading for Sutton, so no longer seeing a round two WR. Back to the drawing board.

Graham Barton is too important to pass up if he’s still there..They need a starting Center with upside, and position flexibility..you can’t get that deep in round 2

And Graham Barton is NOT a starting center. He is an OT.

Lol the amount of whining in the comments lol it's gonna be funny when y'all are disappointed with the actual draft. Arm chair scouts are funny, watch some highlights and think they know everything and better than our front office whose scouting department has spent a year+ scouting these kids, all of you need to go touch grass

Just need to get solid ready to play now players. Barton 1st and Frazier is a Real genuine Center, if he get hurt you got Barton 💯. DL 3rd, 3rd WR Rice or Bub Means, 6th Jalen Coker or Luke McCaffrey. 6th Joe Milton

Terrible mock draft. Barton is an OT and not a center. And Blake Fisher is not a starting OT. We can do better. Rather have Mims and Zach Frazier as the first 2 picks. Maybe DeVontez Walker in the 3rd round.

From your lips to Omar's ear. Really solid. Especially Barton. He'll be the anchor of the OL for 10 years. And anybody who thinks that the Steelers can solve all of their problems in one draft just doesn't get it. They're 1-2 drafts away, minimum. And maybe their long term QB isn't even on the roster right now...
