dunno if you're still using but I've had my eye on a vacuum blender for years and I saw this one for $130 plus shipping to Canada today so after watching your review I decided to go for it. It looks really nice

Thank you for this review! When John Kohler tried vacuuming marshmallows in his review of the Kuvings SV500, he seemed to get a better vacuum as the marshmallow expanded to take up almost all available space in the container. Granter, in that experiment he didn't use the container used for blending but the storage container that also came with the blender. But the difference in expansion was still noticeable.

The marshmallows expand because they are malleable and they don't have to contend with air pressure in a vacuum. Think about the effect a vacuum would have on a balloon.

Hey Eric, great review! I'm 99% sold on this over the blendtec because of the vacuum capabilities, and the price point of course; however my only question is regarding it making nut butters, specifically almond or peanut butter. any luck?

I have not tried that yet. I will this weekend.

@@ev1448 Did you ever try making either a nut butter or something like almond/cashew milk? Thanks

How well does it do breaking down raspberry and blackberry seeds? So far, only Vitamix and Blendtec can break them down (testing through a strainer).

Have not tried it Will. It did pretty good with turning almonds into almost milk.

Get a Vitamix, for nut butters. There is no substitute. The Vitamix is in its own league.

I’m looking into buying a vacuum blender. Is this still holding up well? When making green smoothies does it leave little pieces of leaves? Thanks for your review!

Hello Lilian. You get what you pay for rings true for me. I ran it pretty hard it and it had engine issues. They finally replaced it because I kept the box which is the only place that said it so keep the box! If your going to use it all the time buy a more expensive blender.

@@ev1448 Thanks for your reply and honest feedback!! I wanted to buy the Vitamix, but it’s such a bummer that they don’t have a vacuum option! It looks like Dynapro is good, but I can’t afford a $600 blender…

@@urmagic5211what did you end up getting? They make void systems lid now for vacuuming for blendtec or vitamix but that’s an additional $200 and any blendtec i get will be at least $350-400+, vitamix will be at least $400-500+. To get either brand then get the void, makes no sense to me b/c it will be more then the dynapro. Void has a complete system for $400 on sale but their customer service and warranty sucks from what I’ve heard. So i am tempted but their warranty sucks. Dynapro seems like the best but i hate that the vacuum takes 1 1/2 min and is run via aa batteries. Kuvings has computer issues and is way more in price. I’m stuck trying to find a vacuum blender. I like the specs of this one and i don’t plan on using my big blender every day - only if i am making a larger amount (24 oz). Elsewise i use a portable one for a daily but i want to upgrade that one too b/c now my portable is giving me more foam then anything and i can’t stand it. I don’t need to vacuum for personal but it would be nice. I could go w/ a simple magic or nutri bullet for my personal one. But i would like to do vacuum. W/ such a need for vacuum it’s a wonder there aren’t more out there.
