Bud…that’s design is mint dude. I like that it’s clean with the straight lines. then you have the herringbone pattern with the double border for some character in the base. Looks like a winner winner chicken dinner to me bud. Either way you and Benny are talented and make the perfect team. God bless brother.

Great work .. looks good but I would have set walls in the middle of pillar s ..would have used same block as capping for wall and made bench .. like others next to you .. but like you said everyone's got thier own style and design ideas...best of luck hope you win ..

Damn That looks really nice tbh. I would love to do something like that in my back yard. A four sided pillar with a fire place in the middle would be good.

Nice work guys. As a landscaper her in upstate NY I like watching your videos. Very informative and its great to learn from others regardless of how long youve done something. I like the design you created. Interesting seeing what others did next to you. I can't see the two to the left but Monaco one I can and that one looked good also. Hope you go over what the judges said, Id be curious to hear their comments.

Thanks man, that is cool to hear and I completely agree. We all did really cool designs and it was a close call... I did sit down with a couple of the judges and we talked for awhile on camera. That was a big reason I wanted to split it into another video. Should have that up within in a couple days ✌

@@TheChristianHardscaper Awesome. I look forward to hearing it. You do clean work and I learn things watching your install videos. I also like that Skidsteer you bought. I have a Kubota lx2610 with a backhoe and it works well but that skidsteer is nice. Heavy but can lift a lot more and clear ground better. So tempting but not cheap as you know lol

I really like the thinking out of the box with what you did. It will really get noticed by the judges I think. A patio with sitting benches or "fire pit" would still be great, but of only 4, you guys are the only ones who did something vastly different. You didn't remake Stonehenge, or the Colosseum, as in mind-blowing MacGyver skills using pavers, a piece of granite, and a coat hanger, but it is enough to make them stop and really look at the concept before going into the details of "just another patio". I think I'm explaining my logic correctly 🤔 I wonder if in the last video is when you're celebrating then minimum $1k prize, you punch poor Benny again.

Thanks man, I knew the others would build a firepit area or use the granite as benches like they did. I wanted to do something unexpected... Simple, but different. I totally understand what you mean. 4th place, Benny would be punching me... 😂 ✌

Hey! Love the videos and the channel! You may have mentioned this in other videos but I'd like to know where you get your bedding materials. Im in eastern Mass and im having troubling finding the high performance bedding. The 3/4 clean subbase seems a little easier to find. Id appreciate any help thanks!
