Final Strip Down and Paintwork Inspection - MK4 Golf Anniversary Show Car Transformation Series

In this video we tackle the final strip down and paintwork inspection on our MK4 Golf GTi Anniversary for it's big show car transformation. This time we finish the strip down that we started in part 3 in preparation for the restoration to start. We have removed the stickers and the glue left from the side mouldings. We also had the glass professionally removed. We then highlight all the imperfections in the paintwork and finish off by masking the interior off to save it from all the dust.

Have only just found your channel, watched the previous videos and i'm hooked! I'd love to do something like this to my Lancer, just spent most of the summer/winter stripping, treating, cleaning everything underneath / arches etc. Makes the paint / body look out of place now haha! Can't wait for the next episodes!

Great series. As an Anni owner (had her from new) this hurts me to see...but in a good way. Bringing her back to life. I look forward to seeing it at Waxstock!

Thanks dude, glad you enjoyed it. In all honesty she’s a high mileage specimen and we are doing something a little different with this one. We toyed with the idea of keeping it totally stock but given the mileage and general condition we thought we would go a different direction with this one. I still want a stock anni for the collection, love them! Plus it gives us an excuse to buy and bring another back to life 😂. We also have a mk3 anniversary waiting in the wings, plus Glenn’s r32 which has already made an appearance on the channel.

@@TheDetailHunters should be kept the oem metallic black, nothing better in a show car than a perfect black repaint that's been flatted and polished so the finish is pin straight no peel, when there this good it's like a mirror and hard to tell what colour it actually is in some lights lol
