And you make your own parts too, definitely going to stick around with your progress and new projects, I've never seen a 1 in bore airgun before and making a mammoth like you described sounds insane. Interesting tidbits about High Pressure Capacity between the states and overseas as well.

yea, the aea 95 cal will be a game changer, probably available in the US in a few months.. No idea what people will use it for but it will be fun to see the reviews. The DOT as of now doesnt like the sound of people filling stuff to 7k at home ,and certainly not transporting 7000 psi tanks.. So we shall see where that goes.

Either way all your exploring is not lost, I'm sure interest will pick up on parts as it rolls out,bad press and unavailability 😮😮

yea, not many people even have the gun yet, a friend of mine has been on backorder for one for several weeks.

Maybe the answer is a hatsan sortie barrel it has the gas plunger and is long ,then maybe reman the valve so it has no blow by.withe longer barrel comes more rotating mass assembly with it's plunger,more pressure and barrel= velocity maybe 😅

@airgunningyup Ай бұрын
a sortie barrel would be a good upgrade were they readily available.. youd still need a new front cap for the barrel /shroud

Could you please do a basic video on the Velox showing how to lubricate and maintain it? The included manual provides no instruction.

really it shouldnt require any aside from greasing the piston ( which is simply removing the plastic shroud in 30 seconds

Have you ever disassembled the Hatsan Bullmaster, Invader, Gladiator or Sortie to see how different this system is? I've taken my Bullmaster apart to diagnosis a leaking seal after about 5 or 6 years of weekly use. There is a plenum (if that's the correct term) that seems to charge up between the hammer spring valve and the actual tank.

no , ive only seen the sortie dissasembled on video.. Havent had the others..

@@airgunningyup ive worked on my Bullmaster, Invader and Blitz. Bullmaster is dialed in with a Donny FL Ronin and I just got the Invader working with the Ronin as well. Mix of turning up the hammer spring tension and going with a weaker spring. I just ordered a Sortie refurbished and looking forward to playing with the system. I have my eye on the Velox as well to see the evolution of their designs. I think Hatsan does a pretty good job as everything is running smoothly for me. I'm still working on the Blitz. Dont want to lose the auto functionality but it's pretty loud as is.

@@anthonymartin8230 the velox seems to cycle better with an ldc installed. Not sure thats the case for the others.

@@airgunningyup on the Hatsan semi-auto rifles the LDC (or the UNF adapter) creates back pressure in the system limiting the bolt from recoiling back far enough to strip another round or even cock the hammer. Then you would see all these comments about 'Hatsan junk' blah blah blah. They were the first to successfully develop a system that relied totally on air for cycling and didn't cost $3000.

So it's using two different systems that it's using I wonder if this was done to make it a more reliable semi auto sense the first design not as reliable the only time it would not cycle is at a really low psi just because both are reallying on air but as long as you've got air it should be a lot more reliable than just wondering on one system.

yea, they probably could have skipped the entire piston system to be honest.. Especially if they added better porting in the rear of the valve.. Ive never physically looked at the rear of the valve, so thats a new goal ( pull the trigger out in order to pull the hammer
@josephsaucedo8691
@josephsaucedo8691 Ай бұрын
@airgunningyup right on I take it the orings have the valve stuck in the block pertty tight to the point it doesn't really want to bug a lot of the times the orings come out damaged by the time the valve comes out when there in there that tight. To me it seems like the orings rolled when installed at least that the way it seems. 💯👍✌️

@@josephsaucedo8691 not sure , i never attempted to drive the valve out from the rear , maybe when i take the hammer out ill have a clear path to do it

How about building a semi auto 25cal that done electronically instead of a hammer it a silinoid that hits the back of the valve stem the trigger would be a simple a contact switch engaged from a trigger pushing it in and a electronic control board ran on 20v system basically a drill or power tool battery sense it won't rely on air to cycle it your guaranteed it be more consistent shot after shot and wouldn't need a reg. just 18650 lithium batterys. Keep it super simple it would need a spring fed magazine though. It be similar to a electric paint ball gun. Power mod would be easy sense the action isn't controlled by air. I think evnix had something similar but was really expensive and it was ugly. It's a lot less complex than the velox system with a strong silinoid it can be any caliber you won't need a hammer spring 😊💯👍✌️

eventually i will do a mag fed semi auto
@josephsaucedo8691
@josephsaucedo8691 Ай бұрын
@airgunningyup if the silinoid some how was able to also cycle the prob to a rotary mag would be simple vs a spring fed mag💯💪👌👍✌️
@airgunningyup
@airgunningyup Ай бұрын
@@josephsaucedo8691 yea, that could get complicated ..better off having a reciprocating motor doing both , as generally u need a capacitor to fire the solenoid hard enough and doing it repeatedly in a larger bore airgun takes some force and time for the cap to recharge
@josephsaucedo8691
@josephsaucedo8691 Ай бұрын
@airgunningyup that should be a problem the electronical board has a cap for it if you want to build it iv got the control board for it. I'm not using it 💯👌👍🤔😉🫡
