Go with the easiest and most obvious when comparing poems. Ensure that there is a clear theme of power, the exam board will want clarity in your comparison.

You can compare any if you know what you’re doing, but make sure to have clear themes and methods for both the ones you’re comparing. Other than that it’s up to you on what you choose

HELP, the question on AIC is “how does Priestley uses Inspector to explore social change?” But i read it as “how does Priestley explore social Change” and only talked Abt the inspector once, may i ask how many marls i will lose 😢?

Don't do inspector calls but if you wrote a perfect answer I would say you would only lose like 10-15 marks. You get marks for various things so you shoukd still be alright

alright I need to know if they allow you to refer to quotes from other texts as acutal quotes, and also if this idea works as i don't want to give them a bad interpretation that doesn't reflect what the writer is actually trying to say so can you just check that for me. thanks. ‘for you are dust, and to dust you shall return’, ‘turned into your skin’ is a religious reference, as in both quotes, the insignificance of humanity is shown through the temporary nature of our bodies and therefore lives. In the bible, this is done directly, but in the poem, this is done, by showing how unpowerful and temporary our lives our, by connecting our skin and therefore bodies to paper symbolically, and how fragile paper is, to show how fragile we are. The implicit intertextual reference to god continues the symbolism of god, and also gets the reader to remember the permeant nature of god, and the supremacy of god and gets the reader to at least subconsciously consider accepting god into their lives.
