Be careful with large cash deposits and buying a home. The lenders and brokers are ridiculously picky about unaccounted for/non traceable cash deposits. If you haven’t already, speak with a broker or agent on how to make sure this money doesn’t hinder you. It’s flat out amazing how much you’ve saved and absolutely should feel overwhelming proud! Congratulations!!!!

⁠@@PNAMNFamilyBudgets per the patriot act, it has to be in your account for at least a month, some lenders require 2 months. As long as you put it in your bank account couple months before looking for a house, you’ll be fine. Whatever price point you’re looking at for a house, you can put 1% of that price in the bank without it being considered unverifiable income. I.E., 200,000 house you can put 2k in the bank without it being flagged by your lender. Hope this helps!

That’s a great question. I tend to avoid this because I deposit less than $10k each time. The deposits go into the same bank I make the withdraws from so the ledger will alway balance out.
