Thanks! If you're on a budget, I think a router and a handful of hand tools will probably be the cheapest way to get started.

I have tons of power tools and machines, but my late father and I bought all the hand tools we could afford. Thank the Lord he taught me how to use them. Great video, keep up the great work,

@@rauschguitars I forgot to ask, are those threaded inserts specific for necks or are they just regular ones? and what size they are?

This is teaching me so much about woodworking skills I ought to try to get better at, hand sawing, using planes and spokeshaves etc

Perfect timing. I screwed up my truss rod access hole this weekend and was trying to figure out a way to fix it. Boom! You nailed it. And it looks cooler that way. Thanks again for a great and inspiring video. I saw where you added a little more tape and did the fall away filing of the frets. Did you do that from fret 15 &16 down??

Thanks! I just had to fix that access, even if it would be hidden behind a cover 99% of the time. I don't know the exact fret I started the fall away from, I just guesstimated it based on the depth of the neck pocket.

Those were standard M5 machine screws.

What do u think about order of joining fretboard and neck. Do u glue them and than shape the neck,or shape the neck and fboard and then glue them. Also would u put frets in before gluing them? Thx

I usually radius the fretboard and cut the fret slots before glueing. After glue I press the frets and last I carve the neck profile. There's no "correct" way to do it really, but this way works for the tools that I have.
