The first few new Camrys are finally rolling into the dealership! Rather than start with one with all the bells and whistles, I figured I'd start with the cheapest new Camry Toyota makes now. Subscribe for more "on the ground" new Toyota content.
If you are near Asheville, NC and are looking for a new or pre-owned car, stop by and Ask for Bryan, or text/call me at 828-209-8803.

I had a 2013 Toyota Camry LE as a daily driver, and I loved it. It was great on gas, fun to drive, great on the freeway or in town driving. It's 16 inch tires are full of air and you'll notice a smother ride as compared to thin 19 or 20 inch tires which you'll feel every rut and pothole on the road and are more expensive to replace. The 16 inch tires are inexpensive to replace, and so are the light bulbs. This car is perfect for most people who go to and from work everyday, run errands, weekend trips this Camry is your little work hose. It's a nice looking care and I'd buy one if I didn't own a Toyota Tacoma right now. You can't beat it.

I wish they would make those smaller rims optional on the upper trim. I live in an area with a lot of potholes and more tire less rim is a bonus.

The SEs and XSEs have a lot more going on with the bodywork and the smaller wheels would kinda look off in my opinion. I do understand what you mean with tire costs though. The sport trims are meant to me sporty though, both in appearances and in handling. Those 17s are clearly economy tires which aids in the 51 MPGs.

In the real world of driving, more ground clearance and tire side wall is better. A better ride and fuel economy should have been our first clue that thin tires and big rims are a silly trend.

(although you do get it with the Convenience Package). In fact it's worth pointing out that a 25' LE with the Convenience Package + Cold Weather Package is cheaper than the 24' Camry LE Hybrid with just the Cold Weather Package alone, and still has many more features than the 24 LE hybrid does.

A lot of that decreased disability has to do with crash test safety standards with a lot more emphasis on roof damage so as these cars get structurally stronger that typically means they are going to get a little bit thicker on the roof lines. At least they do have a lot of safety features baked into help with that now.

@@AskforBryan Toyota Canada has lost the plot over the last few years. We can get our cheapest version of the FWD SE with 16" rims to smooth our notorious potholes. Quite incredibly, we have to pay for 18" rims in the package that gives us the SE with the AWD we need for extra winter traction. No bueno. 😡 This aggravation just adds to the frustration caused by the chronic shortage of Hybrids in our market. We make the RAV4, Lexus NX and RX Hybrids up here but they are in very short supply. Speaking of short supply, I just don't see where Toyota will get the batteries to supply a 100% Hybrid Camry lineup in 2024.

It is unfortunate the Big 3 has pretty much thrown in the towel on cars. Now they are trucks and SUV's that are over priced and not practical for most entry level owners. I believe import design and technology teams have proven to be favored overall, however with more careful management the domestic brands could do way better than they have, but that's my honest opinion. Not to mention Stalantis is calling the shots as well. Ford still hanging in there but who can trust the future reliability and OEM parts availability when they discontinue models and recklessly pay attention to customer service at the dealerships. You really have to ask yourself" is it worth the price"?🤔

As long as I don't go over 25 mph it generally stays there unless the traction battery simply doesn't have the juice at the time to pull it off. And I also use it whenever I go into parking garages. I would really miss it if it was gone. When you start the car cold it's just going to run the engine anyway to warm it up, so there's no point to parking it with a fully charged battery because it's just going to recharge it while it's warming up. No Power Seat, Toyota is getting cheap. All previous LE models have always had a Power Seat. Last year I bought a 2017 Camry, that was the last year for the reliable 6 speed transmission.

I will stick with the 2024 or older. I want my naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine coupled with Aisin Automatic transmission. I expect MY Car to last 20 years and 200,000 miles without major repair. The Battery will not last this long. Screwed by the green new deal. Can I buy the car I desire by flying to Japan and buying it there? My family has purchased three Camrys in the past. Outstanding history of longevity and reliability. I am not buying a hybrid Camry.

No power seat for the driver on the base model LE. What gives with that. That should be standard feature on all cars.

It was a standard feature on the Camry LE for a lot of years. Now in order to get a power drivers seat on the LE you have to purchase an options package.

Nah. I keep my cars a long time and have had more problems with power seats than just about any feature except sun-roofs.

Those older Camry LEs didnt have thousands of dollars in safety and tech features though

No base model in this class comes with a power driver seat as standard equipment. Whining about something that no other car manufacturer in the same class offers is VERY dumb 🤦🏻‍♀️

Those tiny rims are just to small. They should have stuck with the 17 inch and up.

Why are you complaining when the SE is available for everyone who has getting bigger rims and low profile tires as their top priority when choosing a vehicle?

Better gas mileage with the 16 inch rim plus 16 inch rims are better for potholes

Interior…the word cheap comes to mind. As far as price…add another $10K to it for battery replacement after about 10 years. Then the CVT complication…not for me. I’d rather give up on gas mileage

eCVT actually. It's two power inputs for one transmission. Toyota CVTs don't have failures like others because of the fundamental design differences.

More rolling road rabies from Toyoduh - one of the most hideous line of vehicles ever sold. Nothing works on this design - looks like a blob with accents just thrown onto the car. A five year old would do better.
