What I really liked... You could se Lars's hands working on the reflection of the dash. That thing is stable as a freight train.

I think the stability of the car during the run speaks a lot for the setup of the car, but it also speaks a lot for the ability of the driver. This is master-class. No unnecessary moves, nothing done to upset the car and its flow. No sliding out, not tires screeching. Minimal understeer and oversteer. Complete control and confidence. Amazing to watch.

@@Chris-hw4mq This 10000 times!!!! TC and PSM on Porsche GT cars is tuned for track use and even allows you some degree of slip. But I see all the reporters and many drivers jumping on these cars and switching it off. Even Walter Röhrl mentioned on the launch of the 718 GT4 that he could't do a better time switching it off on the track they were using. If you are breaking traction and sliding your times will not be that great.....and not worth crashing an expensive and sometime irreplaceable Porsche trying to improved 1-2/10ths of a second.

Have non of you seen that he turned it off mid-lap?! Jesus, he's the record driver and they were in that car as well, just tired tires. Also on the Nordschleife tc opposes a bigger problem because it interveins with any little airtime, off curbs and such. This could send you easily one direction straight for the barrier. Ffs, honestly. ✨

"Ok let's gooo". These racecar drivers are something else. Not even bothered doing speeds north of 300. You can really get a good feel through the video of the speeds and handling. Doing that kind of a mental lap with no AC is no joke.

That looked insanely fast compared to the "usual" fast laps I've seen in a 2RS MR. Not gonna lie, I'm jealous of you for the opportunity but few people I'm more happy for having the experience.

Lars Kern is such a Legend as a Porsche Test Driver, You can tell by His calm composure in His driving. He just makes the cornering look so easy to slide into and so smoothly done. I wouldn't be surprised that He will set another lap record when the 992 GT3 RS is Official for Launch.

Lars is a great human being, simple, full of talent, and always ready to help. Blessed to have met him and could listen to his experience. Useless to say riding a lap in the passenger seat with the recordman 2RS is something that makes you happy

I went recently in my Astra twintop diesel 150hp. Your heart is in your mouth especially if you don't know what's round the next bend like me hehehe. I'm off back next year with a road legal track car i wish to build. I'm looking at a £2k boxer with an ECU problem at the moment. It's €25 per 12.9 mile lap of the ring.

What I noticed was just how fast the corners were to make sub 7. That is all car, without a car that can hold that speed, no amount of driving skill and confidence can overcome that weakness. Of course when you combine car and driver, viola, you have sub 7 lap times. Super fun and scary to watch. Thank you Misha.

That car is set up perfectly for the ring. In fact it is so dialled up that if you don’t look at the speedometer, you can’t tell the speeds they were doing. Dream car for the ring no doubt.

Hi MiSHA.. Woo Hoo.. no mucking around behind the wheel. This dude is on the job ! Just imagine riding with him doing the Lap Record with the car perfectly "set up" for th'Ring.. WOW that would be the ultimate experience !! And you wouldn't have to worry about some "faulty" mechanical issue spoiling the fun either. The continued acceleration even as the speeds ramp up is always very impressive from this model of car. The speedo still counts in blocks of 4kmh and 6kmh as it reaches 300kmh. Mega.

Man the speed going over the hump of forgotwhatitscalled straight in the early portion of the track( on the fastest straight of the track) he had enough downforce he stayed stuck to the track,not sure he even took foot of gas pedal. That i dont think ive seen more than 2, 3 times so far in your videos. Great driver with impeccable feeling for the car.

My god you could actually hear the speed... Like genuinely, the whooshing of the wind and everything! Surreal!!! Like towards the end you can literally feel the stiffness of the tires, and the grip... PS. use headphones! Like it's really nice!

My Top 3 Porsche Drivers at Nordschleife: 1. Timo Bernhard (Legend in 919 Evo) 2. Lars Kern (Legend in GT2RS) 3. Kevin Estre (Fucking fast in every Porsche Car 🤣) Really impressive onboard Lap. He is One with this Car... What would i give to drive a Lap with hin in this Car 🙌
