I think it has to be taken into account that most romance authors are mainly women in the first place. Yes male authors will often incorporate some romance into their novels but these novels are almost never labeled as romance.

Kaoru hana is my favorite romance manga currently even if it has Romeo and Juilet plot the author still is able to turn these overused tropes into something special and wholesome that just other mangas with the same trope could not easily accomplish and also Rintaro's relationship with his parents is one of the realist things i have seen in a manga in such a long time! This manga does everything right honestly!

This manga is peak! I read it a few months ago, they’re so cute! He was a soft boy who struggled with connecting because of his intimidating face. And she was a hardworking girl who helped him open up.

Yes, finally, thank you for covering it! While at times their level of communication is unrealistically high for teenagers, overall it's SO wholesome and seeing them talk out their problems instead of assuming everything is definitely nice. Also, YESSSSS, praying for an anime adaptation🙏

I think people fail to understand the importance of proper straightforward communication, especially teens when it comes to relationships of all sorts, and in this day and age. It's not unrealistic to think that teenagers communicate this way irl, but what might be considered unrealistic is how accepting and truly kindhearted the characters are portrayed, something that's a lot more hard to find irl. But the manga does show what's possible when you're sincere and straightforward around the right people. Good people are out there, ya just gotta look a lil harder sometimes. (apologies for the rant 🙏)

I WAS HOPING THIS WAS THE MANGA. I read it a few weeks ago and i still love how realistic and relatable the characters are. they arent demonised for being wrong, they are just teenagers with differing povs and its just. the main couple is so cute too

The only downside is sometimes they apologize and thank each other way too much. but they are all so super cute and nice. and there's also a sideship going on too. it's just sooo good

I saw the manga a few years back but just put it in my to watch list. But when i saw the short you did on it, it reignited my interest and immediately read the whole thing in one day. Best decision ever! Honestly the romance is so good yet so real. Just watching this two interact makes me happy. The character feels alive in a sense. And the other characters are so relatable to me. Yet again thank you so much Kito Senpai for recommending me a master piece that I'll probably remember for decades to come 💕

Finally,someone talking about this masterpiece I read a lot of romance but this one just hits hard the story , the art , the characters its just beautiful.This is in the league of other underrated manga like Blue Box and Akane Banashi . Its so raw,its real the parents,the incidents and the events.Never feels like its written out in a certain way.

Just literally one of the most unique stories in all webtoons and manga. Just so- real. It teaches what friendships should be like. It's so wholesome and honest. It shows us how being real with ourselves and everyone around us is so beautiful, it shows acceptance and appreciation of the tiniest tings in life. Pretty much what most of us lack today. How all of us have something about ourselves we just want to just make disappear. It shows us how just as simple as accepting it and moving on can help us accept the people around us as they are and see them if they are true or not. These are just some of the simple life lessons you get from this. Believe me, if you're having a bad day, just pull out your phone and read this. You won't even know you'd be smiling (P. S coming from a person who checks an update from the manga everyday rn waiting for chapter 74 :'D)

This manga is realyyy good(in my opinion)and i'm high recommend you guys to reading this! The story is about a boy who is very quiet and kindful but people alway give to him a scary look just because of his appearance like a hooligan and a very cute girl with good personality.They gradually likes each other.Unfortunately,the conflict of 2 high school they are pursuing is a serious problem that prevent 2 of them having a romantic relationship...The story after that,like Kito-senpai said in the video. I’ve been following this one for a while and while it has a little bit of a rough start imo with the school rivalry it’s genuinely one of the most wholesome and satisfying experiences you can get from the genre. I don’t need any fast relationship progress for this one either because it’s like you say incredibly realistic and believable yet also brings forth so much character development in general for all of the cast that it’s almost unreal at the same time. Just find yourself one friend that is like these guys and you have won in life. Or better yet, BE one of these guys. Not much anymore now and it’s got itself cemented a place in my top 10 manga. Warning: excessive use of apologies like „I’m sorry“ „my bad“ or the like, so if you want to make a drinking game out of that: don’t, you will not survive. xD

Guess what i have been following this for almost ay year..... And my only gripewith the srory is that the characters apologize to other characters a lot. Like i am pretty sure that normal teens dont apologize this much in their friend groups

i agree with that as someone with our own tight group for years, we've probably yelled slurs at each other more than sorry's. But even then i can still feel how tight knit they are in their actions and demeanor. Best i can guess is how they're very less jackassing and more honest which causes them to be more sorry since even the most loudest and off the edge in our group is actually pretty forgiving in the inside.

I saw how highly rated the manga was on MAL, took a gamble and ordered all the physical manga from my local Kinokuniya. 100% worth it and a great representation of realistic and healthy relationships. Still waiting for that next physical volume! One of the best I've read in a while, alongside Sekken to Ase.

It's sooo good. I love then so much. They have so much depth and I love the characters so much. Their friendships are so important to me. Their relationships, both romantic and platonic, are written in such a beautiful way.

Thank you so much! I’ve been looking for more romance manga to read. Currently a manhwa called Maybe Meant to Be is my fav~ Okay this is kinda unrelated but does anyone else remember that weird time in the early 2000’s when everyone was doing “ pirate princess” stuff. I mean, if you go look at the stuff that was published in Hana to Yuma from 2002-2011 there’s so much. None of those series ever got popular and no one makes pirate princess stuff anymore. There was Fena a few years ago but in the words of the KZfaqr No Bones, Fena’s hair went through more development then the characters.

I have been following you for like months now and you are just amazing. All the recommendations you give are S Tier. Zom 100, So Many one shots, Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku and the recent one you gave all of them are so good. This are few i really loved their are many more i have watched and loved because of you. Probably my favorite Anime channel being honest and yeah you are jacked too dude. Also Kaoru hana wa Rin to Saku is my top 3 in Rom Com Slice of Life along with Horimiya and Kaguya sama. ❤ what a Manga. Hope it gets an Adaptation.
