I think this manga is a cry for help from the mangaka of their feelings on the Japanese work culture. Hope this brings awareness to the corrupt "black company" work culture, just like how oshi no ko brought awareness to idol culture.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: if you're so worn out that you're happy and relieved that the world is ending that's a very sad life. Unhealthy and heartbreaking. On a side I'm happy that this "unfortunate" event is a method for him to "live" again.

I hate that I felt the same. When my old and beloved Aunt passed away from cancer, I didn't know at the time. I was forced to take leave just like that but when I found out, I was more relieved than anything for I didn't have to go back right away. I was actually happy. I still hate that about myself...

Have you read Gachiakuta? It’s about a boy who lives in the slumps with his father and the city they’re in is floating in the sky. I can’t say much more without spoiling the first 3 chapters. It’s really underrated and it would be cool if you would give it a try.

Imagine that a zombie apocalypse is what brings you happiness because it gives you a reason to quit your job that is literal hell. This man could literally have quit without zombies, but they gave him the ultimate kick in the ass to live his life to the fullest. Also, if you’ve gotten to the gundam… then you know how fucking JoJo absurd this series can get.

HOTD and Sankarea were the zombie-related anime I came to know. I wish they kept going further than just one season alone! Zom100 is starting to give me the Zombieland vibes! I was hooked immediately on the first episode!

Doesnt the characters' design looks kinda childish for working adult ? That's what bugged me the most in that manga. You'd put the main characters in an high school anime you wouldn't tell the difference.
