Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZfaq channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

I’m 57 and just picked up golf this year and love it. I would be out golfing every day if the wife would allow it 😂. I just discovered Rick and love his content. The wedges Rick’s demonstrating today cost more than the entire set of clubs my brother gave me. He said he purchased them from Kmart 20 years ago thinking he was going to start golfing but never did. Does Rick have any beginner videos? Hoping to get better golf clubs this Christmas, and take some lessons the spring. Love the Content Rick, and rock on 🤘😎

Would love to see you review the Callaway CB wedges. I tried them at a fitting and fell in love (high handicapper). To me they had that feel that the ball was just popping off of them, almost like you say you're looking for here. Much easier to hit almost every shot with for me, and I bet there's a good group of higher handicap players here that might find them useful as well!

I bought the club based on your review. It's literally the worst golf club I have ever bought in my life! So much rust the grooves! The sharpness is completely gone from the grooves due to the rust! Cannot get the club to bite for nothing!
@Daniel-xx3eh
@Daniel-xx3eh 2 ай бұрын
Pretty sure that was the point, for them to rust cuz they say rust gives more spin. So they did exactly as they said they would
@yourbestgolf365
@yourbestgolf365 Ай бұрын
@@Daniel-xx3ehlet's kill that myth now, rusty wedges DO NOT spin more. You want clean grooves to disperse grass, moisture etc. People see tour players spin than ball and notice their wedges are rusty so they think that's what's causing the spin. All the rust does is cut down glare, and sometimes they can feel slightly softer because they are raw, no chrome or other coating
@yourbestgolf365
@yourbestgolf365 Ай бұрын
Hit two shots out of the sand and the excess rust will be gone. You don't want rust build up, it's for aesthetics. The rust does not create spin. That's all up to you and the quality of your strike
@Daniel-xx3eh
@Daniel-xx3eh Ай бұрын
@@yourbestgolf365 I’m just saying what they say, I don’t own them or ever used them so I can’t debate. Some pros say rusty wedges add more spin. In my experience rust can be rough which could be grippy but idk I don’t play enough to know.
@yourbestgolf365
@yourbestgolf365 Ай бұрын
@@Daniel-xx3eh That has been around for years but is simply not true. It's one of those things that refuses to go away. The raw club head COULD help add spin over a chrome covered head though

In January of this year, I bought the Taylormade MG3 grind wedges. They are some of the best wedges I've ever played.

Currently have the Kirkland wedges in the bag. Never had the opportunity to use a really good brand of wedge before. Though the Kirkland wedges are really good for my needs and wasn't hard on the bank account.
