And most importantly, you haven't listened the set in person. I mean,you don't know how the new set sound like. And the final part,it could be of some issues,that the previous user sold his system. I'm an architectural designer by profession. Have heard so many systems from different homes, including systems from pioneer, Klipsch,bose, Logitech, JBL,Sony, Yamaha etc. From my personal experience, I've never heard such kind of low notes,with that much soothing and thundering,from any system,than this Logitech. Definitely like I get from spl subwoofers.

I won't say speakers are trash. If you tune EQ properly then speakers perform great. This system will easily last for more than decade if used properly. I'll still say go for it if you're going to use it with pc and love low bass!

If you have optical connectivity available then go for Z625 as its newer version so its always better to go with newer technologies

Logitech doesn't justify the price but for your requirement there is no other system which produces deep bass like Z623. I also brought Z906 last month I'll recommend you to increase the budget and get 906 instead as it makes more sense

@@Live_Loud it's messy. But you've to experience the sound. The lows are even softer and powerful than the z623. And with smooth bright treble,its even better for listening music. And the most important thing is,it has Logitech's signature u shaped port design, which prevent the sub from creating port noise. The surround output is close to theatre like experience. I would say,it's the best surround output than any other systems under a budget of 70k or more. The vocals are too much natural. Meaning, there's no extra layer of treble or bass mixed with vocals. And guess what, it's worth the upgrade from z623 to z906. Much improved lows,highs and mids..and that too with 300 watts extra power with surround sound experience.

@@Live_Loud hdmi? So what about surround sound systems that were made before the invention of hdmi? Are they fake? That's not the point here. The z906 is a traditional 5.1 setup. Unlike modern surround sound sound bars,the front channels are not together attached to a single unit. All the speakers are separate. So you can adjust the distance, height according to your seating arrangement. If you compare the z906 with the bar 5.1 from JBL,z906 gives the true immersive surround sound experience. And yes,like you said, subwoofer output difference is only 30watts. But,I pointed out that the low notes are even softer,and the subwoofer unit doesn't make any port noise at all. And at the end of of the day,if you compare z906 with the z623, you'll notice that the z623 hits harder than the z906.
