I've been playing with Cardinal for a week, couldn't figure out how to captures my guitar signal (via Scarlett 2i2) until this demo. Thakns!

Thanks for this video. Just FYI, the difference between Cardinal and Cardinal Synth is the IO of the VST. Cardinal Synth has 2 outputs and Cardinal has 8 outputs. In you example, both iterations are fine and work identically. Plus Cardinal FX is very important to a guitarist as it can be a virtual effects rig. You should try the Plateau reverb from Valley.

I’m glad you enjoyed. You’re right though. I always just grab the main variant and clear it. In this example it doesn’t mean much, but the main variant is also the only version with CV I/O so if you want to use the host CV module that’s how. Bitwig’s hybrid tracks make more outputs a powerful thing imo

Right! I’ve never had guitar synth processing that can so easily be worked into a track. This is an actual game changer for me.

@@signalfreud yeah I did hear radioactive man say in an interview that there is a hardware version not sure what it was called, but so cool you can do it in software as well!!

What do you think of cardinal compared to vcv rack?

I have seen the hardware versions in my research, but that also requires having a modular set up as well. The lack of financial commitment really gets me here.

VCV Rack and Cardinal are both a bit overwhelming for me, so I use Cardinal since it’s free. I probably like voltage modular the most because I can focus on core concepts instead of crazy modules. I’m not great with modular stuff really
