Dishes are my most hated task. My mom showed me some things that really helped me get through them easier. I'm 74' Moms 93. By now one would think I know everything about organization HA! She showed me if when I start prepping and cooking, fill the sink with soapy water just cool enough you can get your hand in without a burn. As I cook, I toss everything into the water exceot sharp things, and very greasy things. As my food is cooking, I wash and rinse these dishes and put them into the other clean sink. They are almost self cleaning if washed right after using. I also clean most of my used pots and pans that are cool enough before I sit down to eat. I'm toast after eating. On bad days I make myself do 10 things, like pick up and put away 10 things before I allow myself to sit down. And I try to put like things together. If I see a few things that need to go to the bedroom, I pile them all in one spot so when I go to the bedroom I take them all in one trip. It took me about 2 months of serious self training to get my brain into shape to just naturally do these helps.

If I had a house that beautiful I would never STOP cleaning it! You did a fantastic job! 😊

I usually like watching dishes and laundry videos, because sometimes you learn a new technique to do them. You don't have to pre clean your dishes to go in your dishwasher, your dishwasher and detergent should work for you, it's supposed to have a sensor in it so when it registers that the water is clear then it assumes the dishes are clean, which is why sometimes if you prewash, your dishes still don't get clean, because the machine thinks they're already clean. I like your videos so far I've watched 5-6 of them I think. I love your kitchen and living area, it's huge!! Great for big families and get toegethers!!

Hi, I owned a cleaning service for 30 years, I fully understand where you're coming from in the area of energy levels. You are 100% correct do your dishes. Maybe not spend quite as much time scrubbing each dish. Make sure you get the harden food off and then the rest of the food will come off in the dishwasher. That will save a little bit of time. Go through the house each day and pick up the items that you visibly see and straighten pillows and blankets fold them so on and so forth. Each pick a task for each day for the week. For example: Daily, Dishes, throw a load of laundry in. While it's in, pick up items on floors, couches, table that don't belong there. Have several baskets sitting out. Throw items that belong to each basket in the baskets. So one basket for your kid, one for you, one for your husband etc... so when you find stuff on the floor if it's yours it goes in your basket so on and so forth. Then those baskets get taken to the bedrooms. Try to pick up items every day in the rooms that guests will see. This alone will make your house look clean daily. Then each day pick an additional task to do, so on Monday clean the kitchen it will be extra dirty from the weekend. You will definitely want it cleaned lol. Tuesday, do a light dusting with a feather duster. Trust me feather dusters will make the work go quickly. Wednesday vacuum the carpeting in the house and the furniture in the living room. Thursday remove fingerprints on doors and windows, and sweep and mop floors. ( Daily, though pick up what is on the floors, toys, paper etc... Friday, Clean the bathrooms. You will notice that when you clean them every Friday they will be a quick wipe down each week, instead of a deep clean. Then when the weekend gets there you can relax with your family and your house is clean for company. Then once a month all you have to do is remove cobwebs, and wipe some cupboards down in the bathroom and kitchen. Does your ceiling fans. Other little things like that. Once every 3 months you can do the top of the refrigerator, and other items that you don't get to weekly. Then once a year you can do windows inside and out.

I think you should include your children in your household routine. Let them took the dirty clothes to the laundry, ask them to wash their own glasses after use, teach them not to put cane water everywhere n dump it once finish drinking. Our Asian parents will make us do the household since kids with simple things. In that way, you learn responsibility, give and take, cooperate. Most of westerner videos i watched, the clothes are everywhere in the house and the mother has to collect them. Try to do that with my Asian parents, they will nag at you the whole day. A mother is not maid, children should help. So that you will not get this stress. I love you by the way. Keep strong. You are doing excellent..❤

My whole schedule has been off since beginning of June, my husband has been home more and I have been watching my grandsons for the summer, just two days a week ( four of them!) one day I go to my daughters house , when I’m there I do her three boys laundry and always some kind of cleaning, yesterday was taking her kitchen blind down and wash blind and curtain to wash and iron the curtain. I've only watched your latest video (Unsupervised Nonsense 😋) and half of this one so far but I just want to say that I really love your editing and voiceovers. I personally prefer videos with voiceovers rather than just Timelapse's and music and your voice is so nice to listen to and I relate a lot to what you're saying. I fully and totally relate to the energy+motivation conundrum and I've just reached the part of the video where you took a break and lost the mojo and gosh did that feel like I was watching myself. The energy comes in fits and bursts and I've got to try and make the most of it while it's there, only to lose it so easily from simple things. I sometimes get a bit down on myself about it when I watch other videos like this from people who seem to have so much energy, so it was nice to see a video with someone who's a bit like me in that regard. First time viewer of your content..your honesty is refreshing, i totally relate when you say it is hard to have the energy AND the motivation simultaneously! Super true! Many youtubers that clean just have a natural motivation to clean, its like they were born for it. Not me, its brain numbing and then the energy factor is never there. To answer your question, i love when normal speed is shown to me because i can clean alongside you in my normal speed. It feels authentic and relieving that im not the only one that takes so long to get one thing done. I love your transparency letting us know you were using your floor cleaner incorrectly lol it makes me feel less bad about making mistakes like this because i feel i do things like that too often lol maybe i blow the frequency out of proportion..but im watching all your videos now because you show your train of thought, your tangents are relatable, your transparency makes us connected. Btw i mop the same way as you! I dont like hauling around a bucket of water lol I agree, push yourself a little further but dont overdue it because the next day you will be depleted. I have to remind myself of this all the time!!

Congratulations on pushing through on the cleaning of your home dear!!! I also have days where I to overdue it with the cleaning and then feel exhausted the next day. It's not a fun zone to be in. You can go to bed with ease knowing when you wake up the next day it will be clean. Then the chaos can start all over again.

Cleaning chart, everyone, can chose volunteer today what you want to do if daughter, go on shelves in laundry room. Make contest of who folds and put away clothes gets to chose television for one hour. Television remote Velcro back and throw on footstool. Get a finder if really bad. Before school, breakfast, who starts unloads dishwasher, who take out trash. New bag. Who loaded their dirty dishes. 15 year olds should be doing everything you can do in each room. Show them taking a bow. And a hug. Which two makes supper tonight, which two clean up. Timers, work for competition one girl and dad can do clean up faster and better then you and the other. You vote on who greatness. You need to rework the shelves in laundry room. All supplies in right places, roll around cart for the laundry baskets. Smaller ones can go over the dryer and throw each in these. Girls did you get your baskets. Make a time on it. First down starts first. When other starts hers then first fold’s and hangs up hers. And writes time in and out. Do for a week and see who gets reward. Motivation, is part of organizational skills you are suppose to have. Here now take notes. You need this. You did not learn this and in 3 months you will have it. You bought too much, you have too much. You did not read and not organized. .

I would melt completely cleaning house over 73 degrees. We do bump ours up to 73 during the day but at night to be able to sleep it’s 70. And in the winter during the day we do 70 and at night 65. The older I’ve gotten and with these hot flashes I like the temp cooler in the house.

She reminds me of the ducks in a carnival game. Her name is Roxy and she is our almost three year old Beagle. Our four year old cat Grayson finds a quiet place to lay low during the cleaning process. Listen, my kids kept losing the remote and it would drive me insane!! You can’t turn the tv on or off without it. I bought a silicone cover and an air tag so I could find it when it gets lost. Best thing I did! I Just stick it in the case and it stretched around it just fine.

I like watching dish washing and laundry duty at normal speed or slightly sped up (like 3X). The only housework I want sped up fast is dirty toilet cleaning and picking up trash in rooms where it’s up to the cleaner’s shoulders. All other housecleaning as close to normal speed as possible. It doesn’t seem fair for someone ro plow through a mountain of dirty dishes in 5 minutes when it takes me 2 hours!

I need motivation and energy tomorrow. I need to do a whole house clean and a Sorry! game night with my girls. Send me all the vibes and energy please! You did such an amazing job getting it all cleaned to completion, but I know how you feel about feeling ruined the day or so after getting it all done. I love that wood cleaner. I sometimes buy really good smelling cleaner like some of the Mrs. Meyers cleaners to trick myself into loving cleaning because they just make my whole house smell amazing. The Caldrea Sea Salt and Neroli set of cleaners make my home smell like an expensive hotel, and that's amazing for me. I want to clean all the things when I have that cleaner, BUT it's pricey, so I don't get it often. LOL - glad you figured out your floor cleaner. That makes a lot of sense and sounds like something I'd do. I have a hard time with floor cleaners even knowing I need to dilute them because I want it to smell good for a while, so in my mind, I need more cleaner and less water. It's a fight I have with myself every time.
