FINALLY FINISHED? Not Quite but it's kandy now

So I finally got the monte Carlo sprayed after months of delay and setbacks. Used house of kolor oriental blue kandy over stratto blue base and finished off with uc21 Clearcoat also from house of kolor. Now, going to let it dry so we can cut and buff it then we will begin to reassemble.

To lay out candy and clear that smooth straight out the gun is beyond impressive! Most people's wet sand and buffs don't come out as glass as yours. You're a very skilled painter

May that baby looks sweet ! With those booth lights it's not going to show it's true colors. But I bet it will stop your heart out in the sun light, on a clear bright day. Awesome job ! can't wait to see it finished.

Nice job man, you obviously know the good and bad from this type of paint work. I feel all your thoughts about it ( especially being tired ) And I would also say that none of the HOKs look as good unless in person or the outdoors. Damn that fluorescent lighting

I’m my opinion any time you block the clear it makes a huge difference. I know this one is gonna be on point. It already looks sick! Man U make wanna spray a kandy job!! But instead I got a shop full of collision work. Back on the grind

Jr, how much base am I need to do a old square body truck and as far as the kandy ,is this a concentrate or is it premixed to translate over the base ,???plsget at me and also who do I buy your hok paint kits from. .?. One o more thing what is the cost to do an automobile when using a House of color kit presents the base the size I need and the price on it also the price on the clear and the candy if you would just kind of give me a ballpark about what I'm looking at as far as materials go I'm going to do the labor myself

How much pressure on the gun and how many turns out on the fluid when spraying the actual kandy? Is it difficult to spray the kandy base? Ive sprayed outrageous hok colors and pearls but never a actual kandy base coat over a silver, would appreciate tips

Are you going to flow coat also or jus cut and buff it nice I think the candy last longer when base coat is the same color of the candy

I was very happy with the way it came out very clean and straight that we are just going to cut and buff this one. Its slick enough now to where we dont have to remove much clear during the sanding process. But I have done flow coats as well though. Appreciate the comment

I just shoot UC21 and no reducer required, it is a nice clear coat that levels out perfect, I am impressed with the easy of use of this clear coat and the high gloss it has

you can do that with any clear coat, just add flattening agent to the desired gloss level, you need to read the TDS from manifacturer to get the correct mix for the gloss you are looking for. I use Transtar 6494 and 1 part of flattening agent gives me a satin gloss, thats either for a 2:1:1 or 4:1:1 clear coat

Guys say Tamco is killing HOK?? ...uh uh cause ..,ok yea bcuz they say that a little goes a long ways ????Man what in the fucx are they smoking , silly rabbits i would not care if a drop of tamco made a gallon of kandy , it will never throw spectrums half as nice as hok .. Matter of fact Urekem is the next runner up all day , they smash wet wet , they smashed dna, and in my opinion Urekem is probably as good as hok until they mixing metajuls and fx packs ..bro here can paint nice ..
