What a nice change of pace seeing you loading up and then delivering a load. Looked like the potty “Thermos” got cleaned out after dumping and we got to see you pumping some fuel, all a nice diversion from just the cab discussion. I could hear your “babies” crying for you Chipolte, cute. Recognized lots of the scenery during the driving & drone shots, being from CA and driven it quite a bit over my 73 years! Still love me some windshield time, yes I do. Thanks for sharing part of your life with us!

We left a year ago last September. I lived there since 1966 and wife is native. California has really lost its luster, plus the current governor is totally destroying the state. I wish the best of luck to those who are still there.

@@flyerbob124 I agree. I’m a third generation Californian. The only time I lived outside California is when I was in the Marine Corps and that was either North Carolina for my MOS school or the Middle East for War. This state has lost its way. I look forward to moving to a more sane state.

Fuel was cheap in Missouri last month when I was there. I drive an RV and it has 150g tank, but been trying your slower speeds and trying that lately. It seems to work, but haven’t had a good run lately. But I have been going to Costco and Sam’s club most of the time lately. Sam’s Club here in Las Vegas, NV, if you have to fill up here. Just off the 215.

Seems fuel is also on the rise with prices. Driving slower is tough to get used to. When you spend as much as we do, it just makes sense

HMMM...Looks like someone has a knack for video editing. Good cuts and The timing is on point. Since you have such a great cam, you can also pan and zoom in/out and not loose much detail. =)

I know wheeler ridge. Also Pyramid lake was my last water Sking experience. Rough fall after back surgery... no more Sking, water or snow. And Long ago, I transported 3 drums of paint (flammable) in my 1 ton van, Didn't know I had to log because it was hazmat. But I stopped at a scale house in MO. "Said all hazmat loads must stop". Guy in the shack, just rolled his eyes, shook his head and said I was holding up the line for real trucks, so I got gone.... Oh well. BTW Jason, glad to see I'm not the only guy to "play with his beard"...😁

Hey guys, interested what you said about DEF, tech people I have spoken to say it won’t do any damage if you run out, it just de-rates the engine to reduce emissions (because def not doing its job)

Your Paso Robles clip was shot with the location of James Dean's fatal accident in the background. Look for that grade in the background. It was where he sped up and hit a man making a left turn at the bottom. Trivia, I know, but interesting.

Hey you guys, Great video! Happy Holidays. Got a question for you. Is it possible to make a living in expediting trucking only driving during non snowy weather? Also, I see the benefit in driving team drivers, but can you make a living in expediting as a solo driver? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Really just depends on how much you need to make and if you can budget for that time off. There are some very successful solos out there, so it is possible. Not many that have custom sleepers though. There really are a lot of factors to consider

@@TheCraftyTrucker Instead of driving a box truck they let me take the test in a bobtail semi. It was really fun doing the road test. It was my first time driving anything larger than a UHaul Truck. First time driving a truck with air brakes. I feel like a 16 year old with a brand new license. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of a truck. Now I just need to get my wife through the process.

I was in Texas last October, my first time ever, with our racing team. We had been retired from racing for 10 years but "got the band back together" to participate in the Lone Star 600 race at Devil's Bowl in Mesquite. I really liked it there, not so much in Mesquite since I'm not a city boy. But the country to the west of there is really nice. And the people there were all so nice and friendly. The only problem I had was some of the gals in restaurants had such thick accents I had a hard time understanding them.
