When Raykit relase a video about in game issue/bug , you know this issue/bug been in the game for a while & comunity were talking about it for long time.

They keep adding stuff we don't need and not fix what is broken. The puppets have been spawning though walls for a long time now

I'm glad we have a SCUM content creator to address these issues in a very respectful manner! Most of them don't even create videos showing what needs to be fixed, and these are things that are happening to all players (including myself), and it's really frustrating when we die because of game issues we already know. Nice video, Ray!

Myself and a few thousand others have been railing for a year+ now and have stopped playing. The devs DO NOT care anymore and that has affected us personally as it forces us to not care for something we loved and don't wish to watch it be ruined any further - so we haven't & and aren't playing anymore. Guess what? That is a year+ and its an obvious impact on the numbers, but does lil 'ol Tomideviantslav give two flying fucks? Hell no. I'm almost to the point that even if they fix a singular issue at this level, I may not return ever again unless the impossible happens and Tomislav keeps his horrid plans and takes away from it entirely.

You, other creators for this game, and the public deserve more from the developers.

I was resting on a rooftop a couple days ago, just lying down. I stood up and first thing I heard was that _ROAR_ of a hoard. Within 30 seconds, there were 20 to 30 puppets all around the building I was on. Needless to say, I just lay down again.

The thing is... devs said that the hordes will stay and they not going to get rid of them. Period. They said that people hating it because it's something new, but they definitely not going to take it out and players have to get used to it. Also they said that the spawn system is being constantly reviewed for any issues, but at the same time, they trying to push new updates out so it's not going very well neither fast

Another great video... And your right mate, I've had so many perma deaths to these stupid bugs.... Wolves not taking arrows, or melee. Puppets or animals spawning on top of me,. Puppets glitching through fences. Halfway across a road. Puppets glitching through walls..... Rabbits spawning in houses. Which wasn't a death but was just down right weird Something hasn't worked. It has borked the game.

This is one of the final things that made me uninstall Scum and decide I wasn't returning Ooooh more paid DLC though to paint a base, that makes it all worthwhile

I haven’t played in around 6 months. I have over 1700 hrs in this game I used to love it. Was really hoping I’d be surprised with a cool update and fixes to it but by the sounds of this it seems it’s still broken. 😔 damn

I kinda gave up when they implemented Pink Ghillie suits and Dildo weapons. Classic Fortnite syndrome, they wanna find children and other casuals to the game but the soul of the game goes off.. Remember the trailer before early access where they told us about the game and the mechanics they are focusing on? Please find that and do a fukken reaction video or whatever. :{D

I've been over the game since the hoard system was brought in. They spawn in, you kill them and then another puppet will just randomly spawn 10ft from you and proceed to spawn in another hoard. The whole thing is wack AF

also sad that they removed all the random animals everywhere. it used to be fun just hunting but now we cant even do that

you can go to D0 military base, and there will be a few puppets outside of the perimeter, and absolutely not a single one spawn inside. spawning is absolutely broken. meanwhile a small town in D1 will spawn in endless puppets, without a gunshot or loud noise going off.

I used to play this game loads with my partner back when it was the old spawn system and we loved it; just the two of us doing pve mainly, occasionally with some other friends. We stopped when the horde system was launched because there didn't seem to be any puppets anymore, barely any animals either, and the whole world just seemed very dead. Very rarely there'd be a horde spawning all around you and that was it. Not really been back to the game since; instead waiting to see how things end up. Really hope it gets sorted in the end, and that there will be different game modes for different playstyles; the game, it's mechanics, graphics and map all seem far too good to go to waste.

EVERYTHING in this game needs tweaked ASAPPPP and some more than others. Some of the major bugs seem incredibly juvenile and should be no problem to fix, so why arnt they fixing them??? the empty lockers by brennar have been broken since wipe?? Why when im close to my base walls is it COMPLETE DARKNESS and i could go on and on and on. it's 3 steps forward and 9 steps back with this game and dev team so far. ANYONE ELSE who f******** up as many times as who evers in charge of the puppets/zombies would be fired at their job! whose ever in CHARGE of the DEV/over seeing everything really needs to wake up and hold people accountable! friends or not!

The peak of this game was the patch right after the call of beauty update. Still had plenty of vehicles, spawn system was working fine.

I totally agree with you RayKit. I think all of us who play have had similar experiences, and while new features in the game are cool, the devs should focus on fixing some of the issues such as the horde and spawn system, we have had the overly loud wind forever it seems, and it is time these things are addressed.

We had our server set up great before this whole fiasco. The way the puppets spawned was more realistic than what is happening now. Yesterday, we ran up to the airfield in D4 and went in the one entrance. We proceeded to go deeper in. There was a little hallway on the left and a mech patrolled towards us. My friend ran farther in and I darted in the empty hallway. Hey, it's empty, I'm good. Three puppets came at me from inside the hanger. While trying to deal with them I turned to reload and run towards the back of the "empty" hallway and 5 puppets spawned there. Needless to say, I put up a fight but died in the end. They definitely have to do something about this. Also, since the last patch, I have shot (with a shotgun at point blank range) numerous times and it goes right through them.

Nicely put, Ray. imo, the game hasn't been as enjoyable and lost it's magic when .8 or .85 was released. Modular base building was a fantastic addition, but we also lost the original vehicles that the game was built off of... still waiting for them to return. Hordes and puppet spawning now have driven a lot of players including myself away. On the small server I play on we have completely disabled hordes, because we have gotten tired of trying to be so stealthy and not using the decent loot we try so hard to find because it's just too loud. Disabling hordes has made the game better to some of us, but the puppet spawning system needs to go back to the way it was as it was so much more immersive.

I stopped playing scum about a year ago. Puppets killed, move about and in quick time they respawn. Can't be tactical, can't clear anything, always murdered at any poi. Fun = 0

Personally, I don't like the Dial Lock. It takes too long. and spawning zombies Should be readjusted The wind noise is too loud.

Hi Ray, I have a serious question for you. As someone who has the "ear" of the developers, what is the word on the street with them concerning this? Can you tell us what they've told you? Have they hinted that they are at least working the issue? I am all for them adding more and more, as they try to "fix" or "repair" some broken issues, as they have several teams working the issues at one time. This game is STILL at the tip of the spear for me, but as we may all agree on, it has the ability and "teeth" to be even better. RIBBIT @RayKit!!!!

I completely agree with you. I'm so sick of all this that I stopped going to the bunkers. Alot of players have stopped playing the game because of all the problems. I just hope they fix it soon or they can kiss the player base goodbye!

I stopped playing, got a 1000 hrs in the game but it just lost its way a bit, the traders make it too easy and the horde system has just been the cherry on the cake, and the Chinese players are a nightmare

I quit playing SCUM years ago... due to the spawn system. All the game devs did for this game was add MORE and MORE resources to make it RAM heavy instead of fixing the real issues of the spawn system.. even years ago. I agree with Raykit... its getting worse instead of better... even in just watching the gamers show LIVE.

Awful, played couple hours, hate it. That is so stupid to have zombies "respawn" after you have cleared a area. Hordes should roam the map, attracted to each others sound and staying together maybe chase a animal for the immersion. Bunkers should have somewhat a alarm or a loud sound that can attract a roaming horde. On that note would be cool to even have to defend bases from zombies or stay silent until horde passes. But that bullshit horde after horde spawning in front of you is stuuupid.

Haven’t played Scum for months. The Puppets have been awful from day one but now it appears they’ve changed the whole system and made it even worse. If this aspect isn’t fixed soon, I can see the game failing miserably. Yes I know it’s Alpha and changes will be made- better or sometimes for the worst, until they can gage the best ways to help game play but the Alpha excuse sometimes wears a bit thin for me, especially as the Zs or Puppets have always been useless imho

@RayKit It's the dame on DayZ mate. We the community have been asking them to fix the infected ever since the game released on PC but still years later they are not fixed.

If the current spawn system was in the game when I bought it, I never would have. One of the things that peeves me greatly is having cleared an area, just to turn around and get jumped by something that wasn't there 5 seconds ago. With SCUM going so hard on trying to be closer to realistic with damage and metabolism it's ridiculous that they are cutting corners when it comes to the creature spawns.

The only way to get them to take this seriously is to simply stop playing the game untill we either hear from them or see something change. They wont take this seriously while playercount is not dimishing. If they see people stop playing in large numbers then they will be forced prioritize this.

Plain and simple as far as the puppet spawns, a POI radius makes sense. Take Spickovina, coming from the east when you cross over the little stream, that should trigger puppet spawning. They're spawning before you hit the POI, so there's no need for them to spawn right when you're in the town. That also eliminates the tree and bush spawning. There's no excuse for the collision issues with the phasing through barriers. That's laziness on their part. They need to post a vid and speak to their community about the issues and give some sort of reassurances, or continue to ignore us and lose their base as a whole.

100% - the puppets for FAR TOO LONG have been glitching... time for this to be overhauled. it damages the game, needs to be fixed and the fact the Dev's do not acknowledge it as priority, is concerning, but hey, we can spay paint the building, we get new rabbit slippers..... ?????

Raykit, I finally quit playing SCUM, Im just really tired of the lame excuse of its "early access" to give the Devs a pass on screwy game mechanics.

I stopped playing not long after the horde update, 2.5k hours I have in the game and I enjoyed it, now it seems even worse than before. The old system worked! Clear an area.... it's cleared. pick puppets off from distance with rifle.... no worries, not anymore apparently, thats going backwards imo. I guess painting objects and having fancy hair is more important than an immersive gaming experience 🤷‍♂

Believe it or not I never have a big issue.

Key problem with the old spawn system is IT WAS BORING!!! After maximum a month of playing you knew all the spawn points and cleared all puppets before they even woke up. DO NOT ask to bring it back. Current spawn is better in that puppets spawn active and wander around. What needs TO BE FIXED is puppets glitching thru objects like walls and floors. What needs TO BE CHANGED is puppet spawning distance. They should all spawn up to 500-700 m radius and never spawn closer than 100-50 m from a player. This is it - no glitch and spawn further away - and it will fix all issues. But for the love of all that is holy, do not go back to old and boring spawning!

I play official servers, even worse than the spawn sistem is the lack of in game support, Hackers and cheaters are running wild, they only go for vehicles and kill or go through locks and walls like they are not there. So all in all there is alot of fixing needed. I know its in development and early acess but along with spawn system economy needs to be adressed. So alot of work ahead but instead of developing new features they should fix what is terribly wrong with the current iteraction before moving forward.

The way puppets spawn after the horde system was introduced, pushed me away from the game until a week ago. I have a private server, and finally took the time to figure out much of the settings and what they do. But its still overly convoluted and poorly worded/explained. I like the idea of the hordes, and terrified of them. I have died 3 times due to a horde. I'm not sure there is a better way to spawn a horde. But the casual/common puppet spawning absolutely sucks. The way puppets spawned before, and the settings we had were way better. We all know the issue, how it looks, and what needs to change. I used to rave about SCUM, I can't really recommend it at this point. But I do talk about hope a lot.

I still think they should never have gone away from the original spawn system (interior/exterior/wild level bars) and just added the "hordes" along side it, instead of erasing the old (great) system, and doing whatever the fuck this shit is... They really could save face by rolling it back to 8.5, considering "it's still early access"...

The bottom line of the game is broken af. Hitboxes, puppet spawns, puppets glitching through walls, i mean basically you still fall through the ground if you're not careful. Jumping through windows is kinda suicide regrdless of server stability. And we are talking about a game 6 years in early access, more in development. These things are the core of the game's concept, should have been solved already as it's so close to the 1.0 release. Well, I'd say the game is further from 1.0 than it was 5 years ago but that's just my opinion. The old spawn system was perfectly fine (i mean the system back in 2018-2019, the original), hitboxes before the puppet reworks were better. The servers without hordes were more stable. Reverting the whole puppet system, removing hordes (and if the devs insist put back as isolated event) would solve around 3/4 of the main problems. Anyway, what was promised a few years ago, that the events would be taken out of the cities and relocated to a separate map section, nothing came of it either. The solution is still that if there is an event, don't go to the city, which is a joke. Man, there is so much wrong with Scum... still love it (the concept), but unable to convince myself to play.

The worst thing is that in every dev update there is no mention about working on spawn system. I understand you Raykit that you dont like to rant or talk negative to the devs but in gaming the truth is that the only way things will change is if we do something about it. Starting with negative reviews on their steam page, on youtube and just stop playing the game until they fix this shit they have made. Scum is the only game even in early access that with every update the game gets worse. This has to stop and the only way is to really shit on the game and just play something else. Look what happened with Helldivers and the ps network account situation. We have to do the same if we want Scum to be enjoyable again.

I'm completely done with Scum until (or unless) the developers actually start listening to their fanbase. This spawn system is absolutely horrible. I'd literally rather play 7 Days To Die, than Scum in its current state.

The devs have totally fumbled the game. The numbers are reflecting it. No one wants to play scum. And it sucks. I love this fuckin game and invested so many hours. But my lord, it's impossible to defend it now. Tired of just hearing "early access," it's just become a tired excuse. I haven't played in a month. And it's because of shit just like this amongst many other issues.

The entire point of an Early Access is to gather community feedback, so v1.0 is as good as it can be. Sadly, right now, the game being v0.95 is really far from being as good as it can be. I hope the devs realize this

haven't played since the spawn system change - I tried a few times but its terrible and emersion breaking - not fun. Im playing other games and not wasting my time but checking in every now and then to see if anything changed. SCUM is NEVER going to be the game it had a chance to be - too long in development and now newer games in UE5 are gonna bury it.

They added a system that changes to spawning of the NPC's and the behavior of it before they fixed the actual NPC's. And I don't get why. It's been years and the puppets wall through walls, foundations, objects, doors, bunker doors etc. And instead of fixing that, they just add more shit and more B tier actor DLC's. I get money needs to come from somewhere and I really like SCUM. But at one point they just need to deliver. As much as I like playing the game, it can't be that I have to deal with so many issues. Over time you've learned how to treat certain bugs etc. But these hugs shouldn't be there. So many implemented features, that just have never been fixed.

The state of the puppets spawn system/horde system is damn near game killing, especially on hardcore servers. Beepers clipping through walls and popping in feet from a player, melee weapons, arrows, and even bullets going directly through puppets. I have put about 750 hours in the 3 months I have been playing and the last week has made me damn near consider putting the game down until this is addressed properly, and that saddens me.

with PVE being such a big part in the game, having it completely broken in turn leaves the game completely broken. not being able to clear an area to loot it safely anymore is such a hassle. ranged weapons are pointless now too because of this system. its like they completely destroyed their own game and arent doing a thing about it. just get rid of hoards and change zombie spawns to how they were, everyone preferred it.

I honestly think the horde system needs to go.... I prefer'd the older system where we stumble across them laying down etc. same thing goes for the Hunting system i STILL Hate it. remember stumbling across a deer? or spotting animals in the distance via bino/scope.. Without the extra animals roaming the map it feels Empty. i think the Horde system Does have a place in SCUM but not the way its working now. i get the need to diversify profit but they NEED to stop Dropping Shit Paid DLC's and REALLY Figure out were they are going with SCUM (PS i Love this Game to Death and want nothing but the best for SCUM and US as the players!)

Those are features not bugs. Those are TEC01 puppets teleporting, guys, come on .I think they should just call it a feature and move on. Clearly if they try to fix it they will break the game even more. At this point I'm convinced that SCUM is like a glued together broken glass that they are afraid to touch so it does not completely fall apart. That is why they are only working on putting some makeup on it. Anyways, you'll be able to spray paint everything....I guess. Maybe the game will hold together after there are enough coats of paint on it.

This is all the same shit that has been going on since the horde update Dec 14th 2023. That's a full 6mths. I stopped playing because it's stupid now. Either you don't see anything which is boring. I have on multiple occasions, entered naval base without seeing a single puppet., walked from the south trader to north trader without seeing a single puppet or animal. Zzzzzz Or you are swamped by puppets who clip through walls, get stuck underground, have messed up hit boxes so it's like hitting a ghost, spawn in bushes like bitches, etc, etc.... It's all bullshit. I don't understand it.

not just the puppets problem, also the cheaters are plagued within oficial servers. i think that is bigger problem now too, its too hard to report a cheater, know the player who cheat it and anything its like the anonymous of names is made in favour of cheaters. im playing on oficial brazil 1 and get killed by a random cheater going with a dirtbike hunting people in the middle of nowhere and making loose your fame to half. bout to drop it but for the guys in the squad didnt for now. but its like on purpose when you fall in love again with the game you get welcomed with all this things and its too frustrating i think its the best realistic survival out there and its failing with stupid and basic things.

I stopped playing after 9k hours. I loved this game and the worlds it created on good servers but the list of issues is just too long to cope with at the moment and it appears to be getting worse with devs deleting valid comments and concerns, banning players who speak on some of the worst issues like the 95% Chinese population of the game and more. It's pushed over a line for many in the last 6 months and I think will really struggle to recover under the current owners and devs.

I like horde system, if they take that away then game will be broken and empty. then we will fall bak again to the old system that whas crap. puppets whas layingdown in all houses and did not thing. will be loot of zombies in the woods again. for the will spawn where you are and kill you. screaming in the bunkers and run after you where you go. that whas horible. So the new system is better then old system. But i agree they need to fix bugs whit them and work little more whit the puppets.

What took you so long?! I’ve been saying this since December! Only reason you are seeing it now is because you are finally playing PVE.

Horde system doesn't make any sense in a PvP environment. Hordes make sense in a Single Player mode or CO-OP. Fighting other players in a city and triggering a horde with a single shot is a lack of thought process on devs' side. But nobody plays PvP anyway cos the game has been designed as a PvE micromanagement sim so people don't even realize how truly broken this system is .

About time.. But better late than never I guess. You were just like half a year late to the party if not longer already.
