I mean there is a lot of people out there that do drive with skinnies but i wouldn’t do it or don’t do it because it just isn’t a good daily tire with how small it is in my opinion, I wouldn’t try taking a turn very fast as you feel the difference in that. As far as going boost, it’s a very hard choice for me. I personally however if I could go back I would of went with a twin setup as it maintains torque when your on it rather then procharger it’s a lot less then your hp, but I do believe procharger you get more power out of them I also really love the sound of them compared to anything else, you just don’t hear the turbos or supercharger sound as loud as you would hear the procharger.

Discount tire has gorilla shank lug nuts, I never ended up getting them so I have to stop by and do that, when my car is done I’m going to need some traction so I plan on throwing these tires back on

Manuals are infamous of having wheel hop, I have not ran on the track with the drag setup, I bought BMR suspension to help kill the hop though, everything cost around $800. I haven’t installed that yet either, waiting to do it all when I go boosted

@@MP3BOOSTED I have a couple of friends that have been out with me one has a 2017 SS manual he doesn't get wheel hop out all the other one has a ZL1 manual 2018 he also doesn't get wheel hop. So I was confused why mine was doing it. I was hoping it was the tires.

🤔 that’s strange, how are you launching the car? Any different then your friends?

I mean soft tires compared to hard “street” tires would make a noticeable difference but all my friends I know have experienced wheel hop

@@MP3BOOSTED one of them has a tune in some other upgrades. So he does not have all the traction control AIDS. What the ZL1 has all the same stuff I do. I will be going again this Friday and I will focus on seeing if I can be set up exactly like them and see what happens. Thanks for the info.

No, you only get that when you have two different tire sizes, so if you have 28s in rear and 26 upfront or vice versa you’ll have those issues.

Yea I figured lol. I’m running S/S now and have been able to cut consistent 1.7 60’ 11.7 1/4. With your mods/tire setup you should be in the low 11s high 10s in good air

Mario Aguila yeah I would like to see a high 10 or low 11, just a bit nervous I’d twist the driveshaft 🥺. I wanted the S/S but they are consistently on back order for a 17 inch rim

MP3BOOSTED True but you’re gonna have to upgrade the driveshaft eventually especially if you plan on boosting the car

Mario Aguila I tried 😢, I was told the 1LEs don’t have an aftermarket driveshaft. I ordered the GForce combo kit, the splines are different since the 1LE are an ELSD.

I had tpms sensors installed, I bought a tpms reader on amazon for like $12 and now when switching tires it takes like 5 seconds to replace read all sensors

MP3BOOSTED Will OEM sensors work or what do you recommend? Just ordered the relearn tool to. Also, any issues with Traction control/ stabilitrak etc when dropping you’re psi below 20 or so with radials?

Edddy yeah OEM sensors will be just fine, worked on my setup, and no besides having less tire pressure on radials giving you more traction.

Your tire size can’t be over -1 bigger than another. So you need to throw 26 inch tires upfront or make your rears 28 inch at 305s

No I didn’t do any wheel spacers on my setup, you have to make sure they sent you correct lug nuts. It also was hard for me to put them on at first, impact made them grab perfectly

I normally drive around on the stock rims and tires. I only drive on the drag pack when going to the track or to Mexico...

MP3BOOSTED another quick question , I just did a secondary cat delete and I just purchased 2inch long tubes from tsp , did I essentially “waste” money by doing that since I would of had to cut them out to install the headers ? Or could of I installed the headers while keeping the secondary cats on

akidim13 you would need to grab the cat connection pipes that tsp has to offer, I don’t remember how the stock exhaust looks but you might be able to simply just install the headers and bolt it right up to stock exhaust but idk 🤔, I’d say make sure though that tsp did send you everything, like an added bolt, there headers are known to hit the steering shaft. They send you an aftermarket bolt to fix that.
