Latest Update: Kia has launched the MY24 Carens in India which now gets more feature-loaded lower and middle variants.
Price: The Kia Carens is priced from Rs 10.52 lakh to Rs 19.67 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
Variants: It is available in 10 broad variants: Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury, Luxury (O), Luxury Plus and X-Line.
Seating Capacity: It comes in both 6- and 7-seater layouts.
Colour Options: Kia offers eight monotone colour options for the Carens: Imperial Blue, Xclusive Matte Graphite, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Gravity Grey and Aurora Black Pearl.
Boot Space: It has a boot capacity of up to 216 litres.
Engine And Transmission: Kia offers the Carens with three engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol (115 PS/144 Nm) paired with a 6-speed manual, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (160 PS/253 Nm) mated to either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic), and a 1.5-litre diesel (116 PS/250 Nm) which comes with an iMT gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Features: Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, cruise control and electric one-touch folding second-row seats. It also gets ambient lighting in 64 colours, ventilated front seats and a sunroof.
Safety: The safety features include six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Rivals: The Kia Carens squares off against the Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, and Maruti XL6. It can also be regarded as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta and Maruti Invicto.
Kia Carens EV: The Kia Carens EV has been confirmed for India ahead of its expected launch in 2025.
