This reminds me of the days I used to spend swapping ecotecs into a VY. I aslo had a vt L67 which i enjoyed heaps so I remeber doing all this haha. I'll have to get myself anotehr one and do it again. These cars are so fun to work on.

Make sure you use a l67 flex plate they are different to ecotec

Don’t worry about the delays. When it’s not a daily driver that has to be back on the road for Monday morning, you can take your time and do a near-perfect job, rather than a half-assed effort.

If you ever have the blower off again I'd block off the two coolant o rings they are redundant with the aus motor

Same thing happened to me with alternator was brand new as well 😅😅

I recently started working on mine and had to buy a new alternator with them costing anywhere between $300 to $500 so instead i went to u-pull-it and got one for $53 i swapped the backplate so it fits and it works good. My mext isssue is exhaust gaskets rocker covers and inlet manifold its smoking badly.
