Love the look of those bead locks. I agree the fronts need more of the rim painted black but still look good. Ready to see how it hooks now.

Must’ve must’ve missed something along the way although I don’t know how. You got the twin turbos up and running now or you could actually have some boost? I know you were running with the gate open which I assume means that there was no boost being built which means so have you download and got a horse power number yet I miss that too if you did

This video helped me soooooo much. I always wanted to have a huuuuuuuuuge old skool look to the rear of my 16 GT.. but didnt want to run front runners... esp in WA where it rains non stop. This video... clarified soooo much stuff for me... that I could run... 18x8 or 9 in front and run the 17" in back... and maintain good handling. Thanks for explaining it clearly.

I gotta 2003 torch red cobra with carbon hood, trunk, ect.... I got 15x10 weld rt in the back with 5 inch backspacing which looks great. I like the fronts on there, after seeing this video I think these D5s will look at home with the welds.

Zander, I know expense is always a factor but I think that even though you would not need bead lock a set of matching bead locks for the front would be "KNOCK" out.

Wheels look GREAT on the car, bro!!! I do agree with you on the center paint going out more on the front. Maybe a vinyl piece or custom paint work to even it out. As far as those Nitto NeoGens, I have the same set all around on my Jetta. They are AMAZING tires!! I literally just put a new round of them on my car last wk. 2nd set.. 😁 I hand painted the last set and think I will detail these as well... (tuner stuff 😄)

Nice wheels , I like the way they look on the car . They have the same type look as my factory wheels , black spokes and a shinny ring on the outside . I know you don't chrome , so I hope you will like the new look

Love those wheels but ur right about the aluminium sorrounding the 5 spokes (front). Try to vinyl wrap just the area u don't like. Maybe will work. 👍🏻🤙🏻

I agree with you that if they had extended the black on the front rims, it would not be such a drastic difference compared the rears. That wide shiny outside diameter really stands out (a little too much)! Rear bead locks make it look like a beast.

Hey Zander,, the tire and rim setup look great,, the only thing that I notice is that the front and rear rims don’t really go together at all... BUT IT NOT ABOUT LOOKS,, and don’t get me wrong,, they look great,,, but like you said, it’s about functionality,,, hope they work out for the strip.. I am in market for the same type of setup,,, but I have been on the fence about front width and rear.. I wanna do 345’s in the back. With the whipple( manual trans, 373 rear end),, I’m trying to make my best EDUCATED CHOICE,, these things cost ALOT OF Money!! So , I can’t wait to see what your setup does on the track!!

The style of these wheels fit the car very very nicely. Now it looks like a race car. The other ones looked good, but they definitely looked more street. The rear is PERFECT!!! I agree with you on the front with the paint and maybe going with a 28. Regardless, you’re ready my man. Holla.

Looks awesome. Like you Im not a fan of chrome. If the paint was extended a little more on the front tire it will be better. That it fixable with a little bit of time, work and plasti dip. At least with that you can try it and if it doesn't work, peel it off.

I don’t really like the look of those bead lock rear tires. But they are functional and do what you want them to do that’s really the main reason for getting them I would assume. Not for show but more for go!

He went with the smaller tire hopping to minimize the sway that happens when you air down the rear tires at speed on the drag strip something funny happens when you have a full size tire on the front the sway that happens form the rear fights the grip of the wide front tires that is why people use the skinny drag pack fronts but he still wanted to be able to drive it on the street and feel connected to the ground that is why he is trying out this setup hopefully it works good enough to drive normally on the street and still feel in control at the track!!
