When he had a great job in DC we would split everything. It was when he quit his job to become my "manager" that I took over everything. That didn't work out at all having him try to run my KZfaq channel so eventually after like 3 years of that he decided to get a job but it was low pay as he had to start from the bottom again. I continued to support us until he could move up, I knew it would take a few years but was happy he was getting a job instead of playing video games all day. That's where he met her and rather than helping me with any bills he would give all his money to support her.

Kayleigh, you are incredibly brave for opening up about this. You never owed us anything, yet here you are helping other women who’ve been in your shoes or are currently experiencing it. To see you leave that toxic life behind and absolutely kill it in nursing school all while finding the love of your life.. There are no words. You did it all on your own when the odds were against you. You’re a huge inspiration. I will never forget when you were there for your ex every step of the way when his mom passed. I commend you Kayleigh for being so honest. And I think the part of this video where you talk about breaking up with your boyfriend should be showed to girls in schools in Grade 9-12. As a teacher I have met so many young women who think that what they see in blogs is the "truth", and who believe that all the "perfection" they see in influencers' videos is what they should have and is possible. When these young women leave school and end up living with a partner they pay the bills but don't insist on their names being on the title, and starve themselves and exercise to please partners without getting any respect in return - these women need to hear your story, and the sooner the better. Not because you are a victim, but because you have wisdom gained from life experience that will benefit them in the REAL world.

Best thing to do with those personality types is cut off ALL contact. Go completely silent. Guarantee he’s still watching your videos. No one deserves that kind of treatment. Sometimes we don’t know what situation we are in until we are able to step away enough to take the filtered glasses off. Shows how strong you are to dig yourself out of that situation. As crazy as it sounds I’ve learned that even though long term relationships end it all happens for the better. I went through a similar situation as you and lost myself completely for a fool who never appreciated me and took advantage of the love that I had for him. It came to a point where enough was enough and left him. After sometime, I finally met the love of my life and I got accepted into Nursing for this fall! It’s so nice to see you happy as ever and w so much success as well ♥️

Yes the only thing that sucks about opening up is that it ends up putting the other person in a very negative light....but at the end of the day it's my story to tell and I truly believe it may help some of you going through similar situations. It's been over three years now. I felt ready to finally explain how things happened. I will definitely make more videos in the future about it!

I went through a shockingly similar thing at the same time you did (except I had married the guy and was unaware of a lot of terrible stuff until afterwards, ugh!), and I remember hearing just the little bit that you shared with us as you were in this process, and it made me feel not alone in the shit storm. As heartbreaking as it was to experience, I am also so glad to be on the other side of this, much stronger, having accomplished so much more (I went to grad school and am also now engaged to an amazing man!) You deserve everything great in this world and I want to congratulate you for giving yourself a chance when it all probably seemed impossible to do in the moment. You're a great role model to women out there, I know that you influenced me for sure, and I can't thank you enough for that❤

Kayleigh, I’ve been a silent follower for years and especially loved your vlogs. I definitely always got the sense he was not who he appeared but I watched regardless for your recipes and workouts and how much I liked your personality. I was honestly over the moon for you when I heard you had left and found your passion and your happily ever after. My fiancé is next to me right now and I told him the whole story too!
