Liz Shoemaker makes it all the better following people doing what they love as their job. Everyone's needs are being met this way. And the bonus for me is their relationship. I love to listen to how they communicate and how they have conversations on camera almost like no one is listening. It is a beautiful thing.

This is the most exciting project ever. Who gets to see a huge park-like garden planted from bare dirt forward?! @@wifemommeboblife3657 my local Walmart is notorious for getting little trees straight off the truck and into direct sun. That usually means they scorch and go on clearance. I got a pretty sizeable Kwanzan cherry for $6 which looked like a stick in the ground for a season and now is bursting with blooms and foliage. Sometimes the savings are worth the patience it takes!

You could tuck a lil playhouse/fort/playground in there for the Little ones to make magical memories. Can't wait till you at least get the walkway/driveway mulched so your vision is clearer for me. That. Was. Amazing! Oh, the little forest pansy allee, the manicured green pathways through the meadow, the "insiders only" secret patio. I can see it all and it's glorious. For 30 years from now, don't forget places to sit down, throughout. I know you won't, but they're not as important to you now as they will be. Beautiful ❤️

Aaron’s drone video really helps put it in perspective. The trees and your future plans with the pathways and grass really make sense with the aerial view. Man that auger was HUGE! What a time-saver. All of the trucks on your property remind me of a MUCH SMALLER job we did when our 21 year old son was 5. We took pictures of the equipment and pictures of him sitting in the equipment, parked. That little photo album sat on his night table until he moved away from home. He’s back home now, visiting and searched for that photo album. It is a precious time and I recommend this to you, for Benjamin.

It's going to be magical! Who else brings out their own sketch book and pencils whenever Laura shows the next potential area? 😄 I love sketching different plans and styles . It's usually pretty close to what they put in, because my yard and theirs are very similar in style. Mine is just much smaller!😂😂

So many beautiful trees! You should look into getting a Ginkgo biloba tree. The leaves are so unique- they get huge, but you have the space.😉 We brought in a few to sell at our garden center this year- I just love looking at them every day!

On your front yard, when you first moved in, you designed and planted within existing borders. It was beautiful back then. I learned so much about plants and their needs from watching your videos. Now you can set new borders with new designs and plants. And it will be beautiful too. I love hearing all your ideas. Thank you to Aaron for wanting to make videos. Thank you to Laura for all the education and inspirations. Seeing your family grow is warming. On your new plot, many more wonders to come. I look forward to seeing its development. Woooo-hoooo!!!!!!

I, too, must have that 'Arctos Siberian' Spruce. I would group it with a standard ninebark I have and a new lilac I just found with variegated foliage, 'Aucubaefolia'. Oh my! I don't even care if it blooms, that foliage is stunning.

Laura, wanted to see if you are planning a "ramble" which is a path that goes through a wooded area. The Olmsteads often included a ramble in each park they designed. Neat idea. Peaceful cool setting to come upon when out walking.

Oh yes Laura, I can see it! When you showed us the that the tractor had removed the old lawn the other day, I could see that it would look great. Then today with the gravel gone...WOW...that will look beautiful. You definitely have the gardening designer vision!

Oh I'm so happy you guys got the trees planted. They are going to be so much happier. I love the part where you Laura was talking about the secret space for the kids. I can picture strawberries in that space and fairy gardens. So so exciting.

Large multi-year landscape projects require taking the time. Time before breaking ground to live in a space to know what you absolutely LOVE about it and finding out what could be made better. Then understanding truly what is architectural and what is "decorating" from season to season. The best decision I ever made when I bought my house in my old historic neighborhood was to take lots of walks. It introduced me to the realities of hardscaping in my neighborhood with the hindsight of literally thousands of landscaper's experiances over 120yrs around our terrains and soils. We were able to take a home " lost" in a neglected natural woodland corner lot and transform it into a landscape that reflected the way we wanted to use our outdoors space while enhancing the landscaping style of the neighborhood. It took 15yrs. Every year had a major install. Sometimes 2. You'll have plenty of material for your channel for YEARS to come🙂👍
