That's awesome that underdrive caused the rear tires to compress more witch made the rear squat more and not let the truck go as high up like it did with no underdrive at the beginning

(5:25) ..."Yes" Joe, - I "know" that the "torque-twist" of (all) of Axials factory designed crawlers have more than we would like, so that is "why" I bought the Gmade (GS02F) which has almost no torque-twist, due to the front & rear driveshafts rotating in "opposition" to eachother !!! 👌😉 And yes, if you have a CCW motor rotation - operation, then you would have an easier time getting front traction up "Crowley" !! With this Gmade, you don't have to worry about that !!!! 👍 - So I do not understand why you don't try this awesome Gmade crawler out...!!! [It has been (2+years) since it's release !! - "To me", the GS02F "is" the pinnacle of forward-weight-bias, without having "to be a LCG crawler" !!! ... When speaking of the "amount" of forward weight bias, - this platform "can & will" deliver, depending on how much forward bias you want !! Just like the TRX4, I can fit a small HELIOS LIPO 3S in the front of the motor & servo, and have all of the "forward biased weight possible". You can put the same size Lipo battery in a factory spot right behind the motor and servo, or larger (154x37x(whatever Ht.) Options for battery placement are plentiful with the Gmade (GS02F) !!! 😉 - In short Joe, I would like to see you take a "leap of faith" with this awesome platform... it will expand your horizons !!! ...😆👍 ...But, if not, please tell us why you don't have the guts to buy a $320 KIT, or RTR, because you definetly will be assuredly impressed, and you will thank me "later". ✌️ No one in the "RC bigtime" gives this a look, or chance/review, but they will regret it later !!! (7:57) - You probably need heavier foams or wheel-weights, to accomplish (traction in the front), "to give you more down-force", - but I also noticed that on side-hilling (or a double-angle)... ...your Axial SCX10 PRO was drifting more in the "front", causing the front of your rig to drift down when you wanted it to "stay positioned", to point the tires in a proper "line direction" !!! I see that the SCX10 PRO already has "too much front weight" to maintain "a line" !!! 🤔 I would try some different tires to accomplish that, so you can beat "CROWLEY" !!! 👌

Gio you need to try one of the counter rotating output gearboxes and flipping your ring and pinion gear so your driveshafts eliminate the torque twist.

Those tires man. I took them off and put the jconcepts tusks back on. Made all of the climbs I couldn’t do with the Baja x tires. They look awesome. Work…..meh.

Brazin is releasing a new angled skid chassis for the pro soon! Unlike their Oracle which was a flat skid.

Can you do a video for us on the same climb and try this? if you take out the tranny gears and 3D print a plastic piece to keep it locked in overdrive helps with the lcg and a lot of people are ranting about it. thank you for the footages and hard work you do

The torque twist on these trucks is real. Maybe some stiffer springs or thicker oil may help?

@ exocaged I know you tested link riser earlier and found it to not give any benefits,but i have good results with link riser and torque twist on my Injora Scx build,that one also have quite bad torque twist 😊

This shows the exact same thing I noticed when I added little weight to front of gen8. It does help keep the front down little better but can also feel that weight being pulled by gravity straight down more making it harder to get up. Kinda catch 22 🤷

Yea that’s why you try to remove as much weight as you can that isn’t as low and far away from the center of the truck as possible…. 12lb crawler isn’t a good crawler at least on 1.9s

Have you thought about putting a thicker shock oil in the rear? Will help it not unload so much and might give you that little bit needed to grab a lug.

Think he’d just need more spring tension… it’s not a dampening problem, at that point his truck looped out, shock oil ain’t gonna save that

Supershafty makes the CP43 axles. They’re expensive but very well built.

Will you try the ssd diff cover in front? And weigh your Pro? The brass tubes should bring nearly nothing, compared to the stock metall ones.
