Honestly I think it’s that weleda skin food.... that stuff feels awful on my skin and is not good for makeup prep in my opinion 😂

@@dora876 thank you! It's horrible stuff. I feel the same. I have dry skin but I don't know how anyone can wear it under make up. The oils in it just sit so heavily on top of your skin. It probably works for Katie Jane Hughes as her whole aesthetic is glass skin. She uses it pretty much as her foundation/base and puts **minimal*** product over the top but if you're actually going to layer primer and/or foundation etc (I.e. a normal every day make up routine) over the top of it, then no. Plus it stinks. And the light version is just as bad. It's just the "natural" version of Embryollise Huge pass.

I was about to say the same thing because the concealer is known to be very dry skin girl friendly, so I am thinking the primers affected everything else. . .

Not gonna lie... I feel almost as excited for Lan and her man to enjoy their home as I was when I purchased my home! Just so heartwarming to hear her talk about the move in these prefilled vids. just in case you want to try the concealer again here are things that work for me: I try to use a smaller amount of that concealer and I also only apply eye at a time because it will dry down a little quick. It looks more natural that way if you blend right away. Worth a try before tossing 😊

Outside of the textures of some of the products being less than ideal, this is probably one of my favorite makeup looks you have ever done! You looked sTuNnInG in the end 🥰 (Loved also that this look wasn't so heavy on the contour or bronzer- you look so fresh!)

I actually love their light illusion foundation and concealer. You should give it another try without any of the primers. One of the best moisturizing foundations and concealers from the drugstore.

Perfect timing, it’s so relaxing to sit down and watch your videos. I’m in the middle of a flood/rip part of the house apart and something about your videos just makes me feel better for the time being! Plus I’m interested in seeing more from Flower beauty. It’s weird that the heatwave bronzer is thick! I’ve seen Julia Adams MUA use that product a lot and hers seems very thin. And yes, it works best mixed in with foundation or moisturizer!

Yea it's not suppose to be thick the formula is actually very thin like an actual liquid bronzer I think she may have received a bad batch.

I love the flower beauty blush bombs and setting spray! I have the same issues with that concealer under my eyes. It has a great brightening quality to it so I reserve it for highlighting other parts of my face. I've used the mascara and it does give full fat lashes vibes and really nice lift but beware flaking. Super interested in day glow stunner that kjh uses sometimes.

I use the foundation, concealer, bronzer, and blush products and they are honestly some of the best I have ever found (especially for dry skin). I use the Weleda skin food underneath their skin products and it's honestly so pretty and blurs all my pores. I don't think you need a primer with these, I would honestly try just using the Weleda as a base and I think you will be really impressed!

I try to heat wave bronzer. I think it’s the lighter one that has a little bit of a pretty pink undertone but it’s very lovely.

Very pretty look! The eye makeup shape, the mascara, the colour on lips and cheeks😍. Warm shades is your comfort zone but cooler tones work so nicely with you too!

Julia Adams uses the flower beauty bronzing drops only mixed in with foundation. The powder blushes from flower beauty are some of my favorite of all time though. Great colors and they LAST on the face unlike so many high end and drugstore blushes.

I love the heatwave bronzer when I'm doing a light beat I use it as a warm up bronzer like you did and then add a little powder bronzer on top....love it

I’ve heard the heatwave powder bronzer is amazing, the light illusion foundation and pressed powder, and the blush bomb liquid blushes! Maybe those would be winners? 😅

The bronzer can look orange on me (I'm more pale than Arna Alayne), but it picks up on the brush and blends easily with a satiny warm rosy tone. I tried the foundation years ago and it didn't set well on me. The lipsticks also have a great tone and formula.

TBH, although I love you doing drugstore brand reviews, these products are visibly not great. However I really liked that coolness of the brown, in comparison to some of the eyeliners you tried earlier that were quite red. If I were to look for the brown, it would definitely be on the cool side, and I also think it suits you better. Once again, love you guys for doing your max for us even when the personal life gets stressful ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Broooo, you have to use the Light Illusion foundation and concealer. They would probably be way more up your alley. Also, I agree with everyone else… it was probably the three primers that messed you up 😂

Even if all the makeup did not perform the way you wanted in person, on camera you looked gorgeous as ever. On a personal note, you gave my mind a wonderful distraction from grieving my mom who unexpectedly passed away this week. Trying to plan her memorial whilst caring for my own children has been difficult. Thanks so much for the lovely distraction. 💕

I've never seen that powdered lip...it looks pretty, but I can see how it would be annoying & probably not one to toss in your purse. I've never tried the skin tint, but the FB light illusion foundation is nice!! In the end everything came out very pretty! I need those eyeliners & maybe the lip stains too. Thanks Lan xoxo 😘

I have oily skin, and I had the same exact experience with that Flower Beauty concealer. I couldn't make it look good on initial application, and instead of it becoming better throughout the day, it just completely broke down because of my oily face. Plus, it straight up smelled like paint, lol.

I love a concoction as much as you do Allana but rather than layering your primers maybe just spot use them on the areas of your face that need them. I know its obvious, but dewy on the perimeter, pore filling forehead, nose, cheeks only etc. Same principal as multi masking

“When in doubt, sponge it out!” can work in a multitude of circumstances: makeup mistakes, house cleaning, birth control (You’re all probably too young to remember “The Sponge” - there’s a Seinfeld episode devoted to it! 😊)!

I think the whipped primer messed up everything else tbh I’m curious to see how the rest would have looked without it. I don’t think it’s fair to judge a pore filling primer on top of one like the purple one 😅

At one point it seemed like the brand came to a screeching halt here in the U.S. Nothing new was being released for over 6 months and stuff went on sale. I thought the brand was being discontinued and Drew had started her talk show (distracted?) , but then it came back with more new stuff in more shades.

I love the Flower beauty products I’ve tried. I feel like there was too much of the first primer used and then the other products never had a chance,. Id try them individually and less of the first one. Just a thought ❤️

Hey Alana, like someone else mentioned London Drugs has some of the products. I bought two of their illuminating bronzers. I like them, nothing earth shattering though.
