Best? They fun surelly but kept talking to eachother during the talk of birthing golden lions by Sansha rhey lost Arya's argument that Baratheons are dark haired. Sure they seen later Ned check book (while they kept talking) but doubt they payed enough attention to realise that the previous hand of rhe king who got killed had also found out and is what he meant "the seed is strong".

By Jamie killing the mad king, it actually helped Robert win the Throne during the rebellion. Robert married Cersei and he kept Jamie on as Kings Guard. They call Arya boy because she wears clothing more typical to boys and is tomboyish so a lot of ppl confuse her. Sansa is typical teenage rebellious daughter dreaming to be a princess/queen like the fairytales. You guys have been great and have been enjoying the reactions!

Sansa, as the daughter of Eddard Stark, childhood friend of the King and Warden of the North, has been raised w an expectation that she'll marry the King's son and is essentially bypassing any 'lady in waiting' status even though Ned has kept all his children from the traditional 'King's Court.' Sansa has essentially been sheltered in The North and is naive to the ways of King's Landing despite her 'expected' place in it. While Cat and Ned were both expected to marry and ally their Houses for the greater benefit, it's important to acknowledge that future expectations rarely match the blossoming of current reality - there are those of cunning who make reality bend to them, and those w entitlement who expect it to. 🙏🙏✌✌

It's not like she's doing anything nefarious either, she's just being a moody and brooding teen. And she clearly cares about her family because in that scene where she was called by the queen to testify against her own sister in front of the king and her future husband (and future heir) themselves, she tried to still protect her sister

I don't think you realize that Viserys was considered by some to be the rightful King and had sworn allegiance to him. They (like Jorah) aren't just going to smack him around or give away his throne. Khal Drogo had no such vows sworn to Viserys, which is why he killed him. But no one else would do so.

Also, yes, throughout much of history there have been child kings, queens, and lords who have power over life and death. It was not unheard of throughout history in most major civilizations. Hard to imagine nowadays but in the olden times you could easily find yourself being tried and executed by a 10 year old lol.

Viserys put a knife to Daenerys' belly threatening her unborn child, I think that's what sealed his faith. Khal drogo probably heard he hit her so he had one last chance to not mess it up and he did. It seemed like she did tell the dothraki that he had to go if he threatened her life or hurt her again, because there was no discussion they just went for it. Usually boys/men of many houses will come and ask for a girl's hand and I guess her family's advisors guide them to make the best choice for the survival of their house, but when there's a promise it's already been decided. Ned knows Joffrey's a little demon, but backing out might mean problems for his family. Sansa was taking her rage out on everyone, but the Lannisters who have tormented her and she ain't even married yet. I do feel bad for her, as the oldest daughter, she's sacrificing herself for the family. Arya is free to be opiniated, speak her mind directly to the lannisters and run around, because she doesn't have that same responsibility.

The most badass part is that after pouring the gold on his head, Drogo kneels down and stares into that twerp's eyes so that as he dies, Drogo's face is the last thing he sees.

Marriage was more political and rarely anything to do with love or loyalty. They bred for bloodlines and alliances. What they got on the side was often turned a blind eye to.....and bastards were common. This was true mainly for upper classes, though I'm sure peasants also looked for unions to improve their chances of survival.

By the way, the actor who plays Bronn (the dude who fights for Tyrion) was one half of a British pop duo called Robson and Jerome back in the day. (Bronn is played by Jerome Flynn; he also used to date Lena Headey - Cersei - years ago, but apparently it was not a great breakup so they couldn't be on set together, at least according to rumors... he's since said it's not true and thinks highly of her, but as far as I'm aware, she's never commented on it.)

Jane Arryn wasn't really going to let her son "decide" Tyrion's fate. She'd already decided it. They all knew that given the choice, that little boy just wanted to see someone "fly" through the moon door. By saying he was going to decide, she was already sentencing Tyrion to death.
