I get so pissed when someone tells me it's easy to shoot. 1. YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW SMALL THAT TARGET IS! 2. You obviously never shoot so.. 3. You are sweating like crazy 4. Women's match is 40 shots so YOU HAVE TO STAND THERE HOUR AND HALF, NOT MOVING.. 5. Rifles are VARY heavy 6. You send that shot just by putting a finger on the trigger not by pulling it. 7. It's very hard to hold some parts of your body lease and some steal. 8. Last moments before pulling a trigger you can't breathe.

The jackets help give the shooter some extra tension across the chest and back, plus they allow a sling to be fitted for prone target rifle shooting. The caps kill the ambient light around the rearsight so all you get is the sight picture, and the cap also helps shelter your eyes from wind if you shoot at longer ranges outside with a proper rifle. The eye patch means that the shooters don't have to screw their eye shut, which causes a twitch for some. The glasses help magnify the sights a bit :)

It's easy to shoot, but it's hard to hit the target... ;-) Air rifle is one of the hardest things, the target is really small, the 10 has a diameter of only 0,5mm. And hitting that spot from a distance of 10m, that's skill! And the sweating isn't wondering me, take a look at the clothes. The rifles are weighing from 4,3 up to 4,5kg without any additional balance weights. The same weight as a fully loaded HK G36. If you're breathing you'll miss the target.

The bullseye is .5mm wide, not nearly as easy as you think. No scopes are allowed so you have 0 magnification, and even the slightest body tremor or twitch will throw your shot off...

It is! The 10 is smaller than 1 mm, and you have to hit her for forty or sixty times in championships or other matches. it sounds easy, i know, but its hard to keep your body, head and rifle in the same position every time after reloading. there are many other factors (breathing etc.) which are more important than you could think which can make your goal, to shoot a ten, more difficult. make a video of your own shooting air rifle and show us what happend ;)

just wached the mens final and about to wach the womens final...i shoot 6 yrd air rifle for a local team and have represented my leauge i also have shot 10m........beleive me this is not an easy sport at this standard....this sport tests accuracy and for any1 who thinks kicking a ball is easier i stress you have to try it....

they do have 50m rifle competitions, and you have to shoot like 30-40k bullets/year to be this good, which means you have to practice pretty much every day.

Suuuuuuuure. This sport is actually one of the most difficult ones, very small mistakes can ruin your competition. And btw, I bet you couldn't get bullseye even 10% of the time and you also would shoot like 0s and stuff. Or then you're just shooting at a pistol target or something which is way bigger than the rifle one.

7 years and you still get 8's the first time I did it my scores were only 9 10 and like 1 or 2 8s

I there are special forces in the marines navy army military in general they all have there special forces

I'm not saying this is easy, it's probably hard as all hell. But I'm really surprised what events are being included in the Olympics.

I have RWS Diana Mod 54 airking. I shoot from a 25 meters distance to a dime big target without any support. I hit the target at least 90 times out 100 at one stand. It is not difficult. I am outside which means there is an inconsistent wind which is difficult variable to control. Breathing is important but the most important thing is your pulse. My secret is to do a a lot of cardio and jim, not a secret anymore.

The reason they use really expensive air rifles is because every 0.1% matters. Every last point is important.

the target is the same size as the 500 yard and i bet you dident shoot all of your shots in the 10 ring. there is a sport for long rang shooting, and there is a division in the army, marines for long range and i dont see you in there.

You do know you don't need to shoot pellets to be good the USMC special forces competition shooters probably dry fire there rifles more than they can ever dream live firing it because it's the best way to increase muscle memory, breathing, and more and you can probably be this good of a shooter just shooting a couple hundreds rounds and doing those trainings every day

I doubt you have been shooting 7 years and that's all your getting, with us our things are different to get a ten you have to hit the the little dot in the middle is little bigger than a period and the bullseye is about the size of the .177 pellet so it's really annoying

usmc special forces comp shooters??? guys dont stop operating to shoot competitions and be on a shooting team. those men are trained at the highest possible level to kill people not shoot paper. the marines have a shooting team but it aint called the special forces shooting team be careful throwing that term around someone thats actually spec ops might catch u and let u know

The scoring seems a little illogical. One would have thought the maximum could be 10 points and anything slightly off centre would be 9's leading up to 10 maximum.

Because any Cadet/TA and Reg in britain can easily shoot that no bother, what would you rather have, people that can't shoot a rifle protecting your country or ones that can, i don't know what rifle training is in america but i can't imagine it being mutch differd from ours, and btw i've seen Cadets shoot better marks than some of their scores like (16:33 and 24:22) if she was a Horse shed be Put Down..anyone not giving First place a Run for thier money should be put down really.

I have shot real rifles in the British army at 400m and even 1 mile it was boring and alot more difficult than this as you had to calculate windspeed and direction for each round and I could shoot really tight groupings this is only at 10 m which is indoor and it would be very hard to miss plus there are no factors that can affect the pellets but the way you hold the rifle and breathe also the trigger should be squeezed slowly on slow exhale until the shot has been fired and still keep aim on target and when you breathe in and out your sights should only move up and down

Mate it is Very Easy not only is it 10 meters and i could Throw the Rifle and get a decent Hit but its also inside with no wind, i have a decent shot at 200m standing in the open ranges of cattrick, if you don't get maximum points with an air rifle 10 meters away from the target you don't belong near any sort of firearm
