Emmie... thus Tolstoy book... reflects his life... he did escape to a quiet country life and he was very very controlling and authoritative of his wife's actions. Its sounds like his reflections of his marriage and a letter to his wife.

Hi Emma! I just want to say that I totally get your frustration and rant about “Family Happiness” but I have to say, as frustrating as it is, it saddens me that I personally know marriages like that still today and from people my age (34 yo), not in the age gap thing but in the dynamics of their relationship, man and woman roles and what brings them happiness. So I found it very insightful and truthful in a way that I feel like I know these people. I can’t stop thinking about it!

Hi Emma, to me Tolstoy was so true to himself and he was open minded. I felt he was stupid sometimes but he was so true to himself. He had puzzle, he was also confused. All of these puzzles, confusion and stupid can be found in his works.

🌙Hi Emma! I finally watched Howls moving castle a few days ago and it was so lovely. I absolutely loved My neighbor Totoro when I was little and watched it over and over again and I am so happy I got back to studio Ghibli thanks to your videos! It was perfect for spring and it just felt like a painting that came to life. Anyways. “This is the land of poetry and despair, but there is nobody to sing.” How I relate to this especially being Somali. A season of migration to the north is such a beautiful book especially growing up in a foreign country I’m able to see so many perspectives from my parents and uncles and aunts who were displaced from home and attempt to fit in. And my uncles and aunts back home who still cling to traditions despite the ruin of a war torn country. It’s so amazing having a book touch on such personal perspectives. If you love books along the lines of that I highly highly recommend “bless the daughter raised by a voice in her head” by warsan shire. It’s a poetry collection that touches on many themes including girlhood, family, racism, and trying to fit through a hole in society that doesn’t suit you. It’s honestly one of my fav books and I’m sure you’ll love it too!

I’ve not done food service. But I will say I think my personality suits retail better because I’ve worked retail stores where I care about what I’m supposed to sell, and I like helping people find what they like or need. Plus people can’t take out their frustrations on you by how they choose to tip you. But when they’re rude to you in retail, it feels way more personal, especially if you’re a people pleaser who’s just trying to help. I think we all have a million stories from working in service… and it certainly helps the wounds heal to know that others have experienced it too or had it worse! A video on it would be so fun.

Emma! Congrats on the 95 on your paper. I know I don’t even actually know you, but I feel SUCH an immense amount of pride for your hard work paying off! On the retail vs. food debate: I can confidently say that I’ve had much worse experiences in retail! I’ve had some rough times in the food service industry, but nothing compared to my experiences in retail. That’s just me though lol. Omg an almost hour long vlog?! Is it Christmas yet? You‘re literally saving me. I‘m currently studying for my A-Levels here in Germany and it is not pleasant. Congrats on your achievements! 🥳 very proud of you! Also the „mother-cake“ also called placenta is an organ that is formed together with the fetus in the Uterus during the first week of pregnancy. The placenta is connected to the wall of the uterus and provides nutrition and oxygen for the unborn baby through the umbilical cord. Soon after the baby is born the placenta is delivered the same way which is referred to as an „afterbirth“. So yeah really normal stuff. Hope you are having a wonderful week 🥰
