If you're new here, my name is Arif and I am a first-year student at ESSEC Business School enrolled in their Grande Ecole Master in Management program.
I had received a couple of requests as to how someone can go about financing their studies for MiM at ESSEC so this video is all about that.
I mention all there is to know about the different scholarships, all the student loan options, and the most famous of all - the apprenticeship program.

If I apply for the Eiffel scholarship, do I need to go through the admission process to be accepted by the school as well? (such as an essay or a letter of introduction specifically for the school?). Thank you!

If you have a scholarship from ESSEC, then it gets cancelled if you get an apprenticeship.

Depends on the school. Some do allow the exemption if your bachelor studies was in English

Hey Arif, thanks for sharing and I have one little question: if I apply for a student loan at first and after one year I successfully get the apprenticeship, can I cancel the student loan? or it depends on the policy of different loan institutions? Thanks for your answer in advance!

I dont think there is anything called canceling the loan. After you get the apprenticeship just pay back the loan

Thanks.♥️ Can I understand in the way that if I get the apprenticeship, the company can send the fee to my own bank account instead of sending it directly to the school so that I can pay back the loan by myself?

So as u mentioned we have to stay for atleast 1 year in france for apprenticeship program it means I have to pay my 1st year fees on my own so can I get a scholarship for the 1st year and then when I get into a program I can cancel the remaining scholarship..

There are certain rules with respect to scholarships and apprenticeship contracts which you might have to follow in case you get both.

I’m no so sure about the bachelors scenario here in France but if your goal is to come and settle around here then surely its a good idea to start off early.

Regarding the apprenticeship Program, can a situation arise in which one can study in ESSEC(to fufill the eligibility of being in France for an yr) and then apply for the apprenticeship program?

Financing your studies at ESCP would more or less be the same with just the change of their own scholarships. Eiffel, Charpak, and Prodigy Finance should remain the same.

Expecting high GMAT scores for scholarship I understand, but the age limit part I don't get it; not everyone figures out what they want to do by 30, at least I didn't. I know its a scholarship and its not an entitlement, but for many who didn't have the opportunity to study in their 20's , but are interested in higher education shouldn't be disqualified.

Sorry to hear that but this is something not in your or my hands. We can just think of it as something of a bonus which unfortunately, people above 30 aren't eligible for.

ESSEC informs you if you’ve got a scholarship with your acceptance email only.

ESSEC has a very good brand name in France, If you want an apprenticeship, I am sure you will be able to get it.

It depends on the granting organisation. If you are offered a scholarship from ESSEC and then you get an apprenticeship in your 2nd year then as your entire fees is paid for your ESSEC scholarship basically gets cancelled. In general, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to club 2 scholarships.

There is no such thing as cancelling the loan. Once you get an apprenticeship you can just pay off the loan

The school only allows a max of 1 scholarship for a student so if you get more than 1, they will cancel one of them and it is fair so that more no. of people can benefit from it instead of 1 high-achiever taking up everything.
