Dear Matt, Freddie and Bear. Thank you all for bringing back a forgotten memory. My husband, I and my toddler daughter visited Eyam in the mid nineties. Like you, we visited the graveyard, church etc and delved in to the History. Little did we know that my hubby would pass away when my daughter was 8. So to bring this memory back to mind was wonderful ❤. Thank you. The chippy looked ace 😍

Loved this! Absolutely fascinating. You are lucky to live around so much history. I live in the states and my state was FOUNDED by pioneers in 1847. Prior to that it was native Americans living in teepees around here. We don’t have anything remotely like this! Oh, and I live in the desert. ❤

God bless the Native Americans. My generation in my opinion are so deeply sorry for what we did to your lives. You were here on this frontier before us my ancestors stole your land and freedom. I am truly sorry you were sent to reservation camps round up like cattle. We are Human Beings. What in the hell is wrong with people. Discrimination and hate shall not ever prevail. We love all peoples forever and ever!

More of these history vids Matt! Far from boring; loved every minute of it. Don’t usually comment but thought I’d let you know. And you’re so right, every name on that list was a real person….imagine what they went through…..and the families that buried their relatives, one after the other…..so very sad! Lovely, informative video!!

I loved this video. I remember learning about Eyam when I was at school, many, many moons ago. What courageous people they were to close themselves off so the plague wouldn't spread. Young Freddie is a credit to you, I love his giggles and he seems so interested like he did when you went to Pompei, he's learning a lot from you. Bear, what can I say, he's such a cutie even when he's barking and pulling on the lead to get at other dogs. The stream part was funny. Thanks for this video. 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Lovely video Matt, i seen loads of video,s of EYAM and each one features something different , the way you explained things to Freddie was great , typical lad climbing ,running around just enjoying himself and little Bear falling in the stream that made me chuckle ,i can just imagine the problems you would have had with those two and the other one Andy of course , by the way drone footage was great thanks for sharing .

The "treeman" was an interesting treat that really makes you wonder why it's there and for what reason???!!! Was it just a decorative little bit that someone decided to add to the tree as a mystery or what's its purpose and reason???!! The next question is how old is it and who made it or put it there??? Lots of questions but no answers yet!!! 🥰❤❤ The moss around it adds a nice touch!! You could almost imagine that it's a gnome peaking out of his hiding place!!!😂🤣😂🥰❤❤
