That region was the Bread basket of the state. No accountability for destroying land and livelihoods. Turns out putting concentrated sewage waste on agricultural lands is a bad idea. Who would have ever guessed😢

I know land owners that have been warned about containments since the 1990s. I also know that these same land owners got paid to allow the dumping of human waste on their land. Also during that time the state DEP kicked that can down the road and did nothing. Now we may pay land owners to clean up their land! I love it! I need an idea to get the state to pay me for something that I was told I shouldn't do.

We have a serious problem with this in North Carolina. Willmington NC used granular activated carbon filters to remove pfas from the drinking water.

Glad to see the effort but the fact this happened at all is a bit hard to fathom ... Hope the farmers can recover
