I will be living in the mountains for the next month in this wilderness mountain hut. This nearly off-grid hut is 1500m above sea level and is surrounded by forests and snowy mountains. Stay tuned for the mountain adventures!

Alex this would be a trip of a life time for me. I love snow and the mountains and really enjoy snowmobiling. Some people may think you're crazy for doing this. You might even think so yourself. But when you're 85 years old sitting with family you'll be able to tell these stories and enjoy it all over again. There's nothing wrong with living your life the way you want. You're only young once.. fantastic video Alex really looking forward to the next one. Cheers

Great stuff Alex. After Norway, Austria is my favourite country and I spent a couple of winter seasons there when I was your age. It's good to see a young lad doing interesting and wholesome things and not whining and moaning like many other people your age about "how unfair" the world is or "how hard they have it" You've gone out and done it, and much of your generation could do with taking a leaf out of your book.

I love the visuals from this video, because I've watched it a few times and that peaceful slowness that occurs when it first begins to snow is almost indescribable if you've never experienced it. It's like all of life stops and slows for a little bit, and everything is peaceful and white.

I am desperate to go live in a mountainous cabin in Norway, but not at the right stage of life right now. But, am taking a page out of your book. Good luck with it all and I will be watching this series.

How beautiful! My kind of holiday. I do get to spend several months each year at our off grid cabin in the wilds of the Yukon here in Canada. And I feel very blessed, as I'm sure you do being in this special place. Our log cabin is pretty rustic, with no plumbing or power. other than from a generator or a few solar panels and batteries. Your little 'hut' is so sweet. And you have running water!!! What a luxury! lol! We have to haul ours up from the lake, which is frozen now. So we have to drill through the ice to get to the water. I'm looking forward to your IG posts!

@@just_alex Thank you, Alex! We tend to take the simple act of turning on a tap or flushing a toilet for granted. Believe me.... When we head back to our 'home base' house where I have a washer and dryer and a dishwasher, I appreciate them even more! But, at the moment I am sitting in our cozy cabin looking out on a spectacular view. The lake is frozen and covered in snow. The sun is shining and making the snow sparkle. It's a gorgeous day! I hope yours is just as gorgeous! And thanks again for checking out my little channel! -Sue

OMG! What an adventure! When I was 24 I never would have been able to even imagine doing such a thing. I didn’t know anyone that could have imagined doing such a thing. Thank goodness I did get to travel quite a bit in our American west. I spent my life mostly reacting to circumstances. Never created the circumstances too much. Although like I said did travel in country quite a bit. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos of your adventures. Thanks for sharing.

Great action, Alex! I wish you mighty fun, experiences and insights up there!!! Reminds me immediately of my 4 weeks in an underground one-room apartment of the Max Plank Institute for Chrono-Biology near Munich, in the small town "Andechs". They have been researching there for years with over 400 subjects, how the human wake-sleep rhythm changes when one is isolated from the external time givers, like the sun (replaced by huge UV lamps), the moon, clocks, radio, TV, telephone, communication, any contact with other people). I had all my music sound studio and instruments with me to see how this total isolation affects composing / producing. It was so awesome that I did it again 2 years later. In general, the isolation causes a resensitization in all areas. Although the world in 1987 was not as overstimulated as it is today, everything felt pretty crazy outside after the 4 weeks inside. At the same time, the isolation made me realize how much the relationships outside were worth to me. But the most positive thing was how easy it was to focus on the activities I had brought with me. Then there was their general realization that humans would actually live a 25.5 hr rhythm if you let them. (Let that - and what it means - sink in!). I would still have this terrific experience every year if the experimental series still existed. The director at the time, Prof. Dr. Zulley, is - I believe - now a well-known authority in the field of sleep research.
