Finding first job as an IMG with a career gap

Career gaps are inevitable for IMGs, migrations, family and exams cumulatively set us back years. This makes any chances of getting a job more difficult. Here are the 2 stories from IMGs getting jobs with career gaps who used their proactiveness and hardworking nature to get their first jobs in Australia

1. Teaching local medical students
2. Working in disability sector to learn multidisciplinary team work
3. Doing courses and workshops and networking developing contacts
4. Clinical attachment - be willing to travel interstate
5. Working in nursing homes
6. Charity work
7. Teaching on AMC Courses
8. Doing telemedicine
9. Do not give up

Hi Dr.Rizwan.Thank you for your informative videos.I am an IMG and cleared my Amc 1.But due to a clinical gap I am not able to find a rmo/jmo job here in Australia.I am plannin to go back to my homecountey and work for 3 months.
