Finding Fossils- Dragged Away by the Floods of Time

Someone wrote in the comments on the other video that they would like me to make more videos of the discoveries of large gastropod fossils and so I did. I went to my usual area, where I know that there are large fossils of gastropods, however I tried to go to an area still little explored by me. The rocks look like they were pushed or pulled in one direction by a flood and as they are spread out on the slopes of the hill, some are even on the surface, which makes it easier to dig for fossils. The day ended up yielding some very interesting experiences...

Good morning my dear friend. I didn't realize that it has been so long since I watched your videos. 😢 I am still getting boxes unpacked in my new apartment. But, I still look at the ground when I walk my dog Cookie. I think I found a piece of coral but, it's very strange. It feels like it is made out of sand. This video was a lot of fun to watch. ❤❤❤❤🦕🦖🐌

I love those videos where you are out in the field excavating gastropod fossils. Will you be returning to the locations where the large horn corals were found? I have never seen horn corals that huge.

Hello my friend, I'm sorry for not having responded to your comment yet, but it was only today that I noticed that I hadn't responded yet. I haven't been back to the locations of the Horn fossils but I hope to make a video about them soon, especially since the last time that I visit that locations was a few months ago. I hope that 2024 will allow me to do more of your hunts than the previous year. Thank you very much for your comment and support

Another great video. You have a good eye for fossils. Here in Austria, we don't have to go far to find gastropod fossils in the Alps. But they are usually imbedded in rocks too big to carry home. I've also found what I think are corals- I will have to get them checked out by a real paleontologist. Thank you from sunny Vienna, Scott

I'm lucky because here, gastropods often don't have a lot of matrix attached, so it's easy to bring these fossils home. However it also depends on how far we are from home because doing 10 km with just a 5 kg bag becomes a monumental task after a few minutes of walking he he he.. Ahhh!! I never show up in my videos, I try to mantain the focus on the discovery and not much in myself, I'm a bit shy and if you see in the beginning of my movies I didn't talk either. Maybe in the future I will show myself...😊
