Күн бұрынYes, I know my reloading bench is a mess. I also know I kept reversing "depth" and "length". But the point is clear enough. If you reload, you already own a set of calipers, so there's no reason to make this process harder than it has to be.

Adding them all up I get a max lengh of 1.3 inches for a 9mm. Seems like quite a lot! Edit: nevermind, tried another method to confirm and it seems my 1911 just have a huge size capacity.

I will try this. I am having some problems reloading 9mm. My case will go in my gauge perfect, but when I seat the bullet it will not go in my gauge all the way. That is giving it a light crimp with the LEE factory crimp die. Great video. Hope this works for me.

instead of 3 measurements why not measure bullet length, and the distance from inserted bullet to the barrel end instead of measuring to the side plus the distance from side to end? Oh and give yourself a slight shorter fudge factor like 0.005" for case length variability?

Will you need to shorten the OAL around 10 thousands so it's not to the rifling?

this looks very strange, I dont think it will work at all, it will always give you a huge max oal which is safe but inefficient.

third thought, didnt work... the oal resulted in a too long cartidge. surely has to do with the fact that 1)when the bullet drops into the chamber it gets past the lands a couple of thousanths of mm, and 2)when touched by the caliper's tail it also get deeper a bit
