Been waiting for this since the last video on the abandoned s15. Was getting kinda worried after seeing some of the corrosion in the front end but watching this video was mind blowing to see how well this car held up for sitting in such a rust prone area. From what I can see in this video it would definitely be worth swapping the front end to make the car super clean. Good stuff and I can’t wait for the next video on this car, let the abandoned s15 keep giving!

You need to grind or use a belt sander to remove all that surface rust properly before you put the rust converter on. What you did is a temporary fix and it will come back.

Tech tip .....Sam u need pennatrating oil not wd40 . Wd40 stands for water displacement , pennatrating oil will make taking the parts apart so much easier for u .

Dam sam your getting good at taking these cars apart! Get this stuff called 3m cavity wax to spray inside the rails and rockers and what not. It comes with a set of straws that spray 360° in all the areas you can't reach

13:15 I don't know if you did it on purpose when editing but the way the music dings at the same time you knock the bolt out is phenomenal SUPER SATISFYING

STOP using a wire brush on a drill, it doesn't have the RPM like air tools. Also I'd of used an abrasive disk on an air angle grinder to get most of the rust off. Prob only converted the top layer and it'll come back. Also cotter pins are usually only aluminum, with force they will shear and that is fine. They do their job and keep the nut from backing off.

Love how he uses none impact chrome sockets on an impact gun. He will learn the hard way and one will explode in his face one day, ive seen it happen one to many times.

Experienced a 4.2 on the Richter scale here in South Africa not even a week ago, a bit of noise from the window frames and that’s it. It’s not even considered an earthquake, they’re called tremors.

the wheels are work meister m1 very similar to VSXX, and the 17" & 18" use same faces just the 18" have a step lip & barrels

If your gunna treat rust spots like that without blasting and priming use a right angle or straight pneumatic die grinder with a wire wheel, you will get faster speeds and a better result, then you can go ahead and spot prime or use your rust converter.

The only earthquake I’ve felt in japan was about that, building felt like It was just swaying a bit from the 15th floor. That’s lucky with the diff too, i got Lucky like that with my old silvia and Ended up with a 2nd nismo diff i gave away to a buddy of mine for his 2jz Datsun 240Z. Also give credit where it’s due lol you keep acting so surprised about how easy it’s coming apart but you’re using a Milwaukee impact, those thing are beasts! We use em to remove 1/2x14” head bolts on diesel engines that get torqued on with a 6’ torque wrench and the milwakee rips all 64 out no stress on a single battery pack.

Anyone who doesn’t know the story of this s15, It came from a shop called Trinity Works in Okinawa. The shop exploited mostly us service members by lying to them telling them they would build their cars and basically would never finish them lmao.

The face of the wheel is a 17. The barrels are an 18 made to fit a 17 in face. They aren't normally interchangeable without the special barrels

It doesn't convert back to steel it neutralizes the oxidization process. White vinegar does the same and is probably the main ingredient

Milwaukee is really good tools to get bolts out. I use milwaukee for my car without problems😊
