this is one of the best performances of Go with the Flow I think I've ever seen. his voice is soooooooooo smooth!

The new look & LED screen really is the cutest. I can’t make it make sense artistically but I think it’s super cute and fills the stage more than it used to.

So, I watched this, and I have a few pros and cons. First off, this version wasn’t terrible at all, and I enjoyed a good amount of it, but I was very delighted as well as disappointed with certain changes. I miss the Crush preshow in the beginning as it was filled with audience participation, which Disney refuses to do now. The idea of the narrations make it flow but it’s also incredibly rushed. The original show was more of a Broadway show and that’s what I loved about it. 25 minutes seems fair to a theme park length but I loved the original so much, that many of the changes either were necessary or just not my cup of tea. The visuals are fantastic, the music rearrangement is also great but lacks the feel that the original had. Very few set-pieces make it look cheap, but it still seems like that for many instances, they tried to tie in with the previous show. I am also grateful that all of the songs remained there. I was NOT happy with Just Keep Swimming being shortened however. The original had an identity, this did too but not as much as how it was before. I also miss the Jellyfish, the Coral scene, Nigel and Squirt flying, I’ll just have to wait to see this in person to get my final opinion in.

This show was just beautiful! It's different from the original of 2007.

Okay, here’s my thoughts. First the good: All the performers brought their “A” game and I was beyond thrilled to see familiar faces back in the cast that made me fall in love with this show in the first place. I also really liked the updated set pieces and the use of screens which gave a much needed update. I even really liked the new Squirt puppet. ☺️ Now the not-so-good… I absolutely HATE narration type shows with a passion. To me, it’s lazy storytelling and Disney World already does it in other shows on site such as the Frozen Sing-a-long and the Beauty and the Beast attractions in Magic Kingdom and Epcot; we didn’t need yet another. But my biggest complaint is that all the wonderful little tender, dramatic and funny moments that made that show what it was are gone. The opening scene with Coral, a large chunk of the moments between Marlin & Nemo, Marlin comforting Dory after the jellyfish, the word spreading through all the animals that Marlin was coming… Not to mention the complete cutting of the “We Swim Together (Reprise)” which was probably the nail in the coffin for me. Long comment short, while I’m glad to see this show and its awesome cast come back in at least some form, I don’t see myself hurrying to see it in person any time soon and will stick with my original soundtrack and videos of the show in its previous version.

Why can't the other three Orlando Disney parks have shows the same quality as Animal Kingdom? Festival of the Lion King and Nemo are such fantastic shows! The best show at EPCOT and MK have no live actors and while Indiana Jones at Studios is good, it's really dated. Magic Kingdom really needs that large theater...

I like this updated version of the musical because Darla is more visible

At the end of the day these shows are structured and programmed for ages 3-9. I think this was the perfect reimagination for this show. It still has all of the music that we know and love, values of a Broadway show, and spectacle. A fun and fast compact musical experience is perfect for the theme park day.

The narration by the Tank Gang makes this a lot better!

Basically all they did was make this show covid-friendly. Fewer actors on stage and shorter run-time could potentially save the show from another long-term closure from a covid outbreak in the cast. This was their best attempt (and perhaps only option) at preservation of the show while keeping the actors safe. The only problem is that the original show was already such a drastically condensed version that this incarnation is too fast and explains too little. For those unfamiliar with its predecessor, this is a gross defamation of the source material.

Reimagined means they took a lot of effects and story out of the show and cut the time down, rushing the performance... No more Crush preshow in the beginning as it was filled with audience participation, no rigging effect like Dory and Marlin swimming, no Squirt on a bungee, Nigel is gone O_O!, no net scene, and more.... Reimagined means less show, less props and practical effects, and more projection backdrops.

Looks like we can continue to skip this show unless we need an indoor break during the summer and Lion King is too busy. The worst live show on property, Tarzan was so much better.
