David, a person of good and evil, light and darkness, as we all are, is the most famous figure in the lineage of Jesus Christ, a great king, a devout believer and a sinner, who repented with all his heart and holds an important place in the history of the salvation of God's people. Like him, may we all say, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."
