Besides the personality thing the sound quality is good. Bob insisted on close micing to pick up the sounds of painting.

It’s real nice to find a KZfaq content creator for fishing that is all about the fishing and none of the BS everyone thinks they need to “make it big”. High quality vid as usual. It’s rare to find someone with a respect of nature like you and I have anymore, and that’s what’s important.

FISH not really, it’s hard fishing out here unless you know the spots. Fishermen here are very tight lipped on good fishing holes that’s how come he never says were he is fishing or he only says what river he fishes on. He is a very accomplished fisherman and makes it look easy, I’m from Texas and live in ND I do ok but not like he does.
@DyslexicTurtle
@DyslexicTurtle 4 жыл бұрын
@@FISH-ny6sc You can find bass, bluegill, crappie very easily in MN but the level of success NDyakangler has is definitely not typical. He's a very practiced and accomplished fisherman. I can go out an catch a 20" bass but I won't be getting 5 of them in a single day like he does.
@jacobwitt9266
@jacobwitt9266 4 жыл бұрын
@@FISH-ny6sc definitely not the case. I personally have a lake that I go to where I can either get skunked, or literally have a smallmouth on that's 16"-21" every cast for 45 minutes if I get there at just the right time of year. However, I don't consistently get that level of success. I have another lake I can go to for pike where I can nail them all day long, even get the occasional 34"+ and I slam the pike every time. Usually at least 10 from me alone each outing. But it's very different for crappie especially. I'm only aware of one maybe two lakes that have the quality he's catching if not bigger. One lake I'm aware of, the average size I catch is 9" and the larger ones top out at 13" on a typical trip. Point is: yes there are spots but you have to work for it. Fishing is a large part of being a Minnesotan so a big portion of the population fishes, making it hard to find good spots sometimes. There's always gems though.

Holy Crappie ! Those are some darned nice "pan" fish. I lived in southern Cal growing up and we used to catch blue gill and crappie, but they weren't quire as big as some of those. Nice fishin bro.....good fun. My grandfather taught me how to fish in the mid 70s.... and it's been a life time of fun. I have lived in Hawaii for the past 30 years, and we have some good fishing out here. Ocean fishing is much different. I miss those lazy nights during summer, camping most nights with my brother or cousins and cat fishing all night. We would keep the freezer stocked with channel cat for most of the year from those summers. We were country boys, fishing and hunting were just part of life. I feel for people who can't experience that type of lifestyle.

Those are the most beautiful crappies I have ever seen. Brings back days when I was a child and we went to lake Clark Hill/ Lake Thurmond now. We hid from wind in bass boat b4 daylight. Tie off under bridge and catch a school of them coming through for 15 minutes or so only. We would catch tons. It was a group / family of 20 fishermen and few boats. We had lines tied off on bushes for channel catfish also. Then we caught bass and bream. Soooo amazing. You make me miss it.! 55 disabled, If I had your small boat and a good rod I would go back to lake. Lived in big city 38yrs working hard. No gear now, very expensive also.

I'm fishing the Mississippi in the north metro. I finally found some crappie willing to bite! Found a big old downed tree in dead water adjacent to fast current. The bite was super finicky, though. Had to throw my jig/float literally in the same spot for them to bite. Half a foot to the left or right and they wouldn't touch it. I love your content. I'm a bank fisherman but you've inspired me to get into the kayak thing next year. I need a lot of elbow room when fishing and there's only so much solitude one can expect bank fishing;)
