Definitely gonna try this out as my only solution with better performance was rocking medium settings with NIS on with native.

what about the scope on the liberator penetrator? I found the scopes don't render properly at low texture setting

try : native, texture: vram, object density med, render distance med, shadow low, particle low, reflect low, ambient off, ssgl off, veg and rub med, terrain high, vol fog low, vol cloud low, light med, aa off. i have a good gpu but these seem to give me the best fps, i actully put both vol on high tho, never below 100 on world, 165+ on ship (3080ti)

@@FeritTheBandit yea idk im thinking only certain things affect the frames ina yrade worthy way im saying basically all on low expect for some things its not worth but maybe it only applies at a certain point. it definitely looks the best like that for me, anything below native would only make it look worse for very lil fps if any. also max fov * im also on 1440

Then you could probably run it on native and start messing with higher graphical settings if your pc has a 3080 or higher. I'm struggling to get 60 fps.

This game feels really weird, like at 4k native max settings I get 50fps, but running it at like 320p min settings I only get like 100fps, makes no sense

yeah, you have the same probs like i have: no money for a last gen gra-card! :D I have a radeon rx 580 with 8gb, even shitier than your 1080 ;) Atm i'm playing on a 4k tv with capped frames in my settings to 30fps. It works for me but son is cursing. Guess with age comes "capped outside interface settings" :D

Too further proof optimization of this game is awful, I have a rtx 3070 Ti, its not a 3080 but still good, on ship i have the same fps as you and didnt notice that settings affect fps in any way, I love modern gaming

4:23 i have a 13400f intel cpu and a 4070Ti and i play on nativ because my pc sucks at other render modes lol and i dont know why but i think my pc sniff Cocain when i go to bed lul but good video like it and i am a german so ERSTER translate it lol see ya on the Battle Field Hell Diver jokes beside i enjoy the cotent so pls to more 🤌🦾

starting to think a GTX1070 won't cut it, and graphics cards just went out of my price range after GTX10. If these settings don't work, it will be "a long time" before I can afford to play the game at current GPU-flation prices.

I'm playing on a 1080 that I overclocked a little and can barely manage a consistent 60 fps. Locking it on 60 fps with riva tuner also helps a lot for gpu intensive moments. Although, I do feel that playing with multiple people in squads tends to make the fps unstable for some reason so I usually just solo.

@@FeritTheBandit I was trying to stay solo, and the game stuck me with 2 others and I couldn't figure out how to abort the mission. I so did not earn the points the game gave me for that. Still struggling with hitting the wrong key when reloading and such, lol. time to take 5, then figure out how to fix that, I set it to friends only and I guess somehow the game ignored that.

@@Zarcondeegrissom Did you have them on your friends list? Helldivers wouldn't let me add people as friends but I'm not sure if they fixed that yet.

@@FeritTheBandit I have no one on my friend list, so no clue how that happened. did a set a flag mission solo, then the next was 3 flags and it tossed me in with them. 2nd mission out of bootcamp. Edit: added a thread on steam community for that.

I like AA off , Sharpening 0, Ambient on, Bloom on, Texture Medium , Quality render and the rest is med to low except for particles on high. Honestly there is so much action on levels 6 and higher that graphic fidelity isn't something anyone will really appreciate because you are trying so hard to just survive anyways and frames makes the biggest difference at higher difficulties

I've been messing with something like that too after I uploaded this video. It works-ish for me.
