Today we attempt to cast the DCU's fatherly Batman for Batman Brave and The Bold opposite of David Corenswet's Superman in Superman:Legacy for the. DCU's Gods & Monsters Phase.

If they go with the New 52 explanation, Damian was test tube baby and was artificial aged, so you can use that to make Batman younger. Or you could do the cop out of the new mini series rewriting Batman's origin and have Ra's Al Ghul train him so he meets Talia in his late teens or early 20's, meaning you get to cast a Batman the same age as David Corenswet.

I was just about to comment this, people act like Batman has to be in his forties to have a ten year old son. My Dad was 32 when I was ten and I probably wasn't artificially aged, and the Damian test tube baby origin works too. The ages of the other Robins can be explained too, by having each of them only be a few years apart, and let's not forget that Damian typically shows up while Tim is still operating as Robin, so Tim could literally be Robin for only two months or so by the time Damian shows up.

Brandon Sklenar is absolutely perfect for DCU Batman 6’2 33 blue eyes talented, he looks like Bruce and has the perfect voice for it which is essential since DCU actors will appear in live action and animation

He doesn't have that Batman jaw like Pattinson, but I have no doubt that he would be an amazing Batman & Bruce Wayne. Only thing that got to do is dye his hair black, get him in shape, & give him that iconic Bruce Wayne look.

I hope they"ll take full inspiration on Kevin Conroy Batman & Bruce Wayne from both Arkham & Animated Series. We never gotten a version like that in live action.

I feel like James would want to pick the most unexpected & little mentioned actor for the role while still being a perfect fit. Brandon is exactly that. I trust his casting regardless. But I still think Jenson is the perfect choice for the brighter, more comic book world I believe he's going for. I think his world is still gonna be a breath of fresh air for superhero nerds.

Nah Batman has never been cast as unknowns on film.👈👈 Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale, Affleck, Pattinson all played leading men in films prior to Batman. WB isn't going to risk Batman on a nobody.

@@Knightfall182Even a non batman comic reader can say he's bruce wayne just by seeing a clip of him from 1923 movie for the first time like how the fans scream superman at seeing david corenswet😂. I guess it's time to break the stigma of casting well known actors to play the role. What are well known actors if the majority of the fans recognize him as someone from a popular movie. We need someone whom we can say "he's batman" not "oh the man from reacher" or "the man from supernatural" lol this nobody has the presence and a perfect demeanor of bruce wayne without even trying hard. Casting directors may ignore the actor's profile as long as an actor that seems perfect for the role shows up

@@quirob3 Nah. You need at least some known actors to sell this universe in the key roles. Supes and WW can be unknowns but Batman has always worked as a name actor. Or at least one who has a track record as a film lead with potential to be a big name (like Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson). The MCU *needed* RDJ to make it work, badly. Without it, the whole thing falls apart. Likewise you'd need an established name as Batman to build mainstream audience and trust. Comicbook nerds like yourself will always turn out for these films, but the mainstream movie goers are sour on the DC brand now.

@@quirob3 Lol he isn't perfect at all. He's better suited for Disney MCU's Gambit. This DCU Bruce Wayne needs to be someone patriarchal and seasoned, who has raised Dick Grayson already since he was a little kid, and Dick would be now into his 20s and Nightwing. Ideally someone who could play 40s. Brandon would be okay as a 'Batman Begins' type like Bale was back then, but not for this.

I love having two Batman . My remembrance of reading Batman comics in the 90s was one of many different interpretations of Batman they varied in art and tone , Elseworlds etc. This version for the DCU should have the weight of Reeves films but the styling of a more larger than life Gotham and a more darkly absurd gallows humour of the Burton movies. And Yes Brandon is a perfect Bruce, magnetic and with a killer look in his eyes and he he's 6.2".

Yeah, I'm also kinda leaning more towards Aquaman for him. Not sure why, maybe because of the blonde hair and Bruce has black/brown.

@@TeoCRO yea the hair is great but i see it more in the attitude, in my opinion, the best kind of aquaman would be the one from the old justice league animated series. a king that takes no bullshit does everything and anything it takes to protect his kingdom, including killing. at first it shocks for the justice league, but as they become friends, he learns mercy and sacrifice, while protecting his kingdom and his family, and losing his arm in the process. basically what they could’ve done with Jason Momoa but taken seriously. and i just think he fits THAT part/role/team member of the justice league better with his demeanor.

The reason is because there is no writer for the Brave and the Bold yet. As Gunn said there is zero casting until a script is written. In the case of Supergirl the script HAS been written for her film, which is why she was cast. Gunn did say he would have more DC movie/TV news to announce soon, so maybe an update will clear some stuff up.

Whoever they cast as Batman & Bruce Wayne. It should be someone who's profile & jawline fits perfectly with the character from the comics just like Pattinson. Someone who is in his late 30's. Someone who is at least 6ft & 2 or 3 inches tall. Someone who can capture that incredible spirit & performance like Kevin Conroy.

I am not sure if I like any of the choices. I think Sklenar, Glen Powel, and Jaime Durdan would work. Perfect ages, perfect height and acting chops. Edit : After searching for quite a bit, my top two choices are Sklenar and Lee Pace. Lee is older, but if Batman trained three Robins and three Batgirls while also having a son, this will be more believable. Also, I now think that we're not getting any Batman movies after Brave and the Bold for a long while. I think the only reason we're getting Brave and the Bold is to introduce the Bat Family. The DCU's Batman may just star in team up projects and cameos since I remember them saying that they still want to focus on Robert's Batman. Two young Batmen will not make as much sense. But yeah, I'm leaning towards Lee Pace. Plus he worked with Gunn before.

@@yourwrongimright101_69 LOL nope. Alex and Charlie can't do comedy at all. And Ollie is a *VERY* comedic and sarcastic character. He's literally Denis Leary with a bow. A wise-cracking a-hole. Ackles fits that, and Hal Jordan.... and really doesn't work as Bruce Wayne/Batman in any way.

James really is giving his all when it comes to casting. Literally, the only one I can’t get behind is Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord but I really don’t even care about Lord so it’s not even a problem for me. Everyone else has been perfect for me. I can’t wait to see who he gets to play my favorite superhero, the Flash. After the Ezra Miller fiasco us Flash fans need a win.

He already has that Kevin Conroy type of Batman voice which is essential for the animated Batman 3. Perfect age for a long run (33) and height (6'2) as contemporaries and would not overshadow David's Superman physique. He'll be 35-35 when Brave and the Bold comes out 4. Looks great in a suit and has this killer eyes/stare matched with his calm demeanor that is only making him more intimidating without trying that much 5. Has a villainous charisma that seems he would make a Batman who doesn't flinch no matter how big or giant a villain he's facing 6. Perfect opportunity to have a sleek, ninja-like batman with techy suits and utilities that will shy him away from the typical brooding Batman like Ben Affleck and Alan Ritchson 7. Would make a great pair of young and upcoming, handsome yet amazing actors together with David Corenswet

We all have to keep in mind that whoever gets casted will be a mid-late 30s relatively unknown actor. I'm not familiar with that Brendon guy (I'll give a look after this comment), but he seems likely because Gunn hired Tyler Sheridan's casting team to run the DCU.... With that said, I have my eye on Christian Madsen. There's something about that guy

Whoever they'll find for DCU Batman & Bruce Wayne. I hope the guy is at least in his late 30's, so that way he can play as this character a little bit longer than 10 years. Someone who got that excellent jawline like Pattinson & who's profile fits perfectly with the character from the comics. Someone one who is at least 6ft & 2 or 3 inches tall. Lastly someone who has that deep voice, who can capture that incredible spirit & performance (like Conroy) to play as The Cape Crusader.

Brandon is the perfect age because he’s slightly older than David but he can play Batman for ages since he’s 33. I don’t like most castings for Batman even though a lot of them would be great but they wouldn’t be able to play Batman for very long only one movie depending on when the movie comes out my guess is 2027 because I don’t think they will want to have two Batman movies competing in the same year of 2026. Jensen is 46 even though he looks like he’s in his 30s. He looks amazing and I love his portrayal of Batman.

Okay I have a question for you do you think they will try to make the fighting grounded like the Nolan movies or will it just be like Arkham Batman because I've been wanting to see comic accurate Batman that fights like a comic accurate Batman most definitely like Arkham because the last fight scenes I've been seeing of Batman weren't that good the only one that's been like that was Ben affleck's and was hoping to see more of that in his movie but you know that got canceled so I hope they make his fighting badass like Arkham Batman what is your opinion on this?

Yeah, I agree. I hate it when they keep nerfing Batman and making him very grounded and realistic when he’s in a universe with other superheroes that have some crazy ass powers. Like my siblings are always making fun of Batman cause he has no powers and they just consider him as a rich person with no talent and “gadgets” when the only Batman media they have seen was the movies.

@@jmgonzales7701 I wanted him to be DCU cannon but after talking about it with my mom she made a good point. If Matt reeves and Pattinson are part of the DCU that means they have to follow certain rules and we both really like what Matt reeves did with the Batman and we don’t want his creative vision interfered with. So I think ultimately it’s for the best that the Batman satays in elseworlds where they can deliver us a great story without worrying about James gunn’s oversight. No disrespect to gun cuz I think he is a great films maker as well. But doing things this way we get to see two awesome directors visions of Batman and I feel like that’s a win for us as fans

My guess is this Batman will be 35-38, slightly older than DCU Superman but still close enough to have that brotherly bond. Then you have Batman 10-13 years into his career, enough time to train 3 Robins and Batgirl, before Damien comes along.

With Damian, he should be much older than that, since that means he's already gone through multiple Robins, and Grayson has now aged into Nightwing. Batman should be into his 40s ideally like Batfleck

@@coltongates7397 None of that really matters. RDJ started off close to mid 40s as Tony Stark and did 11 years, and will probably return. Storywise, it makes sense for this Batman to be older if he has a teenaged son, and Grayson is now Nightwing in his mid20s. Plus Pattinson *ALREADY* plays the Millennial Batman. So... they need something different for this one.

Christian Bale is not even more comic accurate bruce wayne but it worked. Try to watch a clip of Brandon in 1923 movie and you'll see he's the perfect DCU bruce wayne alongside david corenswet. Their voice just matches the roles

Bruh both of those actors would get DWARFED by David Corenswet superman. Batman is 6'2, not 5'10. We need a taller batman. Alan Richson and Oliver Jackson Cohan are the only choices.

@@eliteghost1001 there are actors who suit Hawkman far better. And concerning Hawkgirl is being played by a 21 year old, they’re not gonna cast a 37 year old to play Hawkman. Alexander Ludwig should play Hawkman. He’s 30, has the right build and can pull of that character. Oliver Jackson Cohan is legitimately perfect for the role of Batman. He’s got the right height, he’s at the right age (old enough to be a father and young enough to carry the role for 10+ years) and his actor is severely underrated. Some of his past roles like the invisible man are even close to Batmans vibe

Brandon Sklenar's height is 6'2 based on google plus he has the most perfect batman voice among them all. Watch a clip of him in1923 and you'll see he perfectly embodies bruce wayne

Brandon is 6’2 which is Batman’s height in the comics and is only a 2 inch height difference from Corenswet who’s is 6’4 he wouldn’t tower over them that’s over exaggerating Superman is usually depicted to be the taller than most heroes anyway
