👉 Learn how to find the point on the unit circle given the angle of the point. A unit circle is a circle whose radius is 1. Given an angle in radians, to find the coordinate of points on the unit circle made by the given angle with the x-axis at the center of the unit circle, we plot the angle on the x-y-coordinate plane and with the help of Pythagoras theorem or the special angles, we can determine the point on the unit circle made by the given angle.

Its ok I just realized it was my fault all along because you need a calculator to get the sin or cos of a non regular angle such as 31 degrees for example

Hello Mr. McLogan, Thank you for your videos. I have a questions. I have to find point x,y for the real number t=5pi/3. I believe it's in quadrant 3 however, I am not sure what point it falls on. Can you please explain that me? Thank you in advance.

D Rod it is in the third quadrant, however just take a look at the unit circle to determine the exact point it is. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner

Aidan Zheng subtract 6pi/3 twice as that is redundant revolutions around the unit circle and you will end up with an angle of 5pi/3 which you need can graph to find the coordinates
