Terribly hard to find one. I want one who's professional, loves hair, will educate me on how to maintain and take care of my hair, one who’ll grow it, one who just simply cares.

When looking for a new stylist I look for how they interact with their clients, I look to see if the stylist actually loves hair and is knowledgeable. Not a stylist that is only doing your hair to get paid. Stylist that really want to help you take care of your hair & learn your hair. A lot of stylist want to tell you everything that you’ve done wrong and how they do things for other clients but just like every body is different, everyones hair is different also. So its important to learn clients and their hair. I think you do an amazing job 🥰 #getsaved

I'm moving to Houston in August! It'll be my first time moving from my mom and brothers. I take care of my own hair and don't trust ANYONE in my hair except me and my momma, but i'd LOVE for you to do my hair! :) I've been natural for 2 years now. Are you always taking new clients? When I look for a new stylist, i look for someone who has experience with more than just weaves and extensions. I love a good protective style, but i love my hair most! I’m new to your channel what I look for in a stylist is someone that knows how to properly care and handle natural hair. I live in Corpus Christi and in oct I went and got color and a silk press and last month had to due a complete big chop after being natural for 7 years due to the amount of heat and chemical damage I got due to the stylist not using heat protection etc so when my hair finally grows out to an appropriate length for me to get a proper silk press and trim I’m coming your way! ❤️

#GetSaved I live in a high transient town. I gift my clients with products when they leave because I’m not just a Cosmetologist but also a client. It’s even hard for me to find a Licensed Cosmetologist to do my hair. I can tell them exactly what to use and somehow they still mess my hair up. I want to be pampered too! 😩😩😩 The only other Licensed person who knows how to do my hair is my daughter. She lives states away. Of course I trained her she’s amazing with color. I focused mainly on cutting. I can still do color. Even I am frustrated. I think the fact that people know I’m Licensed and can fix my own hair, they want to try different things on me. I love her hair. The shine is amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You do amazing work. I think I have all of the blue Babyliss Pro flat irons.

Great video! I am at mid- back length, my goal is lower back....so my stylist Only trims/dusts what is needed to retain length and health. That being said, I love your work, but I don't like cutting the hair straight across to make it exactly even across... I guess I'm just different! Great job!

Moved to Dallas and need a stylist 🥺... I want someone that actually listens to what I want but also tell me what would be best for my hair... i know my hair but i know stylist truly knows hair. I don't line wearing my hair bone straight I don't think I fits me I like BIG hair. There stylist I used to go to she would bone straight my hair every visit regardless I want happy with it till it was almost time for a wash therefore I stopped going to one period. I need a good trim therefore I know I have to get my hair straightened so I'm ok with that. Im in Houston and my experiences have been horrible. I look for a stylist who is very knowledgeable dealing with natural hair and who are not scissor happy and who will also do kids hair. Most shops don't do kids hair here

Hello, How do I contact you for an appointment? I’m new to Houston and I like your work.

I look for integrity from the stylist. I don't like when the stylist criticizes the previous stylist like she's damaged my hair to irreparable repair. My stylist of 4 years left her shop and began doing it at home. I have neck and back issues so I can't lean back or bend over the sink. I started trying out others. One was amazing and prices were great but they didn't act like they cared about your wait. It was a Dominican salon. They may walk up and ask if you have an appointment or they may not. My hair is natural, soft and fine. It doesn't require a lot of heat. I went back and the salon was filled. My appointment was at 11 but they didn't care. 45 minutes later, I left. They didn't look up or seemed to care. I went to a Black salon. She did well the first time. The second time, my head itched and scalp burned. She said she only used professional products and nothing over the counter. She said my stylist sucked the life out of my hair. She said Dominicans and Puerto Rican stylists (my original stylist is Puerto Rican) put relaxers in the conditioner. I'd never heard of that. No one else said my hair was damaged. She was very critical. The second time, is when she added Seabreeze, Rosemary, Peppermint, hair growth drops and something called Devine oil spray and hair spray. I know the Rosemary and Peppermint stimulates the scalp but my scalp burned until I washed it out. I called her to see if I may have had an allergic reaction. She became very defensive and said that she only used professional products by Design Essential. I know they have that at drug stores and Wal-Mart. I tried another Dominican shop. She gave me the best wash. I asked before the appointment the price. She said $45. She washed, conditioned and placed me under the dryer, rinsed then put in a leave in. She blow dried, trimmed and curled. When we get the register, it was $80 including a $10 minimum tip suggestion. I tip well but was shocked the price went from $45 to $70. Everything was A la carte. I have absolutely no problem paying for services rendered but be upfront. My curls feel the same day. I wrapped it as I normally do. I had no curls but a little body. She texted me to ask if she could make another appointment and I mustered up the courage to say that I would continue my search. I asked questions about prices, time, products upfront. I told her that I couldn't sit long because of my neck and back. I even asked if they used relaxer in the conditioner. She said 45 minutes. I got there at 11:02, she began immediately. She finished at 1:30 PM. I asked her why the price changed. She said that they charge by length. My hair is at my shoulders. She said that the owner would get mad if she didn't charge for the conditioner and trim. I told her she should have told me because I came with cash for the service and tip. I was in such pain after I left. I had to go to the chiropractor today for an adjustment of my neck, upper, mid and low back. My pelvis was pressing on the Sciatic nerve and caused foot dropped and Neuropathy in my Ankles and feet. He could tell that I had a terrible headache. He felt my neck and asked if I had a headache. The disks at the base of my neck was stuck. He told me that I shouldn't go back to salons that put me in that position.
