I'm glad to hear that. When I shoot and then edit these videos, I'm not aware that I'm doing anything unusual in terms of being calm and relaxing. I'm just being my normal self. But I guess my normal self is rather slow-paced and calming. 😁

I wallked past the museum in 2016. At the time I didn't realise it was a museum, but thought it was not open with repairs and construction going on. Gorgeous building though. CC A villa for the rich Hoa family.

That sounds about right. There always seems to be a lot of renovation and construction going on. It's not always clear if a place is open or not when it is covered in scaffolding and tarps. 😃 It is a beautiful building, though, and you are right. It was originally built as a villa for a wealthy family. It's hard to believe that any family would need such a big building to live in. But I guess if you have the money, you might as well build something spectacular.

Cc residence. My guess is it was such until WW2. I'm with you Doug. It"s worth the price of admission to see the elevator and building I too liked the "3D" painting. Wasn't crazy about anything else, but that doesn't mean it was bad.

Yes, it was a residence for, of course, a wealthy family. I can't imagine a need for all those connecting rooms that now make up the museum exhibit rooms. But I guess if you have the money, why not construct a mansion with lots of bedrooms? You can invite over the whole family for holidays and weekends. 😀

I, like you, am more intrigued by the buildings, structures and architecture of the residence and the grounds. The nuances of the "art" is, typically lost on my, but occasionally I do see something that does move me. I have been by this museum many times, but have, as of yet, to go in. After seeing your video, I am more interested in visiting during my next visit to HCMC. Thanks!

Yes, it was originally a residence. When I went there, I assumed it was a government building. It seemed too grand to be anybody's home. But that's what it was.
