Just got this yesterday, and oh man I love this stuff, does smell like Pinaud Clubman which I love too. Strength and longevity is nuclear. This juice is the balls for sure. Winner.💈👍

i wore this in the 1980's and it was quite the compliment getter. It's one that EA Fragances hasn't managed to wreck, perhaps because they owned it via FFI before they started cheapening and reformulating classics (i.e. Halston Catalyst and Claiborne's Mambo). This must still be popular as it's the only fragrance still carried by Macy's for which there's only one option for the house. Macy's is selling the 4 oz. bottle for $54: www.macys.com/shop/makeup-and-perfume/paul-sebastian-cologne Target had the 4 oz cologne and 4 oz. aftershave set for $16 a few years ago. Fragancenet has the set for $20. The aftershave is good and strong, just the way I like it! I probably love Paul Sebastian because it's Old Spice on steroids. The excellent Pour Monsieur fragrance blog loved it when it was reviewed 7 years ago: pourmonsieurblog.blogspot.com/2012/04/ps-fine-cologne.html Does the atomizer still screw out of the bottle? To save money, they used the same bottles for the cologne and aftershave splash. My bottles have an atomizer that can be screwed out. I always wanted to use the finished bottle to decant aftershaves I have, but the PS scent is so strong that it's hard to remove it from the glass bottle! Even classier was their followup release, V.S.O.P. Long discontinued, I still have a bit left from my 1980's splash bottle here: imgur.com/L3hGgZJ Similar to Cnanel Pour Monsieur but more of a barbershop fougere. I should have bought a case of it back then!

Back in the late 70’s through the middle 80’s, it was a great option for those of us didn’t care to smell like everyone else who was splashed with Polo Ralph Lauren. It’s a great option for someone who’s not big on pouring out bigger money while getting a good fragrance.

Have and love this one. Doesn’t smell like a typical designer scent, has solid performance, and is unbelievably cheap (8oz splash bottle for $25). To me it honesty doesn’t smell that dated. Frangrantica states the main accord as “yellow floral” and I think that nails it. This is a pleasant, somewhat classy, versatile fragrance. Signature scent worthy imho. You don’t need to be an older dude to wear it, and girls can even pull it off too. Would love to see how you remix this one.

My Dad recently passed away and wore PS by Paul Sebastian almost exclusively for the last 25-30 years of his life. I always liked it, and my Mom told me I could have Dad's toiletries so I've added his PS by Paul Sebastian products to my collection and wear it to memorialize and honor him. While I'm no spring rooster, I'm active, fit, stylish, and embrace my age as an asset. Don't fall victim to the mindless "old man" narrative - an established gentleman of any age could do far worse than PS by Paul Sebastian.

I am not a rich man. PS Fine Cologne is one my signature scent for summer (cologne does not stay on my body for very long). It's the only juice that I get compliments on, both ladies and gents.

@@mheuslerSo is PS. I think what’s ironic about Bateman’s choice in Paul Sebastian is that it’s a relatively cheap cologne. Dirt cheap if you consider how rich he is. The reason I believe he uses it is because of how popular PS was in the 1980s where EVERYONE was using it. Bateman’s whole goal throughout the novel is to fit in and merge into the crowd. I think that’s the reason he choose Paul Sebastian as his signature scent rather than some higher end cologne that would’ve made him stand out. It shows how he flaunts his wealth at every chance he gets but only to fit in with the rest of the yuppy crowd while with something like cologne he goes cheap so he can mask his scent as being an ordinary man.

Thanks for the review. This is incredibly strong and persistent. OK smell if very lightly applied. I think Bateman 2019 would be reaching for Clive Christian.

PS gets rave reviews no matter where you go, it's well-loved everywhere with no bad reviews. Best general purpose juice I've ever used.

I just watched your review of this PS Cologne, my all-time favourite! I have been wearing it since 1983. I have had nothing but trouble getting the Original/Authentic Version for the last 7-Years! I just bought & received 2-Bottles (240ML 8oz) from FragranceX & got Ripped-Off! Definitely Fake /Knock-Off Counterfeits! (Very Weak Smell/Light Colour & No Lot/Batch Code on the bottom of the Bottles!). In your review I note you say Elizabeth Arden/FFI changed the Formula in 2004. Do you have any recommendations, or know where I might be able to Buy The Long Lasting Original Version of this Awesome Cologne? I am totally Frustrated & Pissed-Off with several Online Sellers!

Fragrancex and fragrancenet have never sent me a fake fragrance and trust me I buy a ton of colognes. Maybe it's just been reformulated more than once.

Xx The Dude xX Thanks for the Reply. Ya, I have purchased from both FragranceX & Fragrancenet in the past & have never had any problems before! But I got Screwed this time from FragranceX!!! (No Batch/Lot Code on the Bottom of the Bottles!). I attempted to resolve this with FragranceX, but they were Very Difficult to deal with! So I contacted ELIZABETH ARDEN/FFI & they shipped me 2-Replacement Bottles of the Real PS. Cologne. Yes it was reformulated in 2004 to a weaker formula by Elizabeth Arden, but the 2004 is still very good! The Fake/Counterfeit/Knockoffs that I received from FragranceX is “CRAP”!!!

I just got it will review soon... I suppose sharpen some notes add citrus possibly for remix or some evergreen element but to be honest at my ripe age of 51 I like it as is.
