When you are the only person working your booth, you really can't step away to look at other vendors or to shop. When I did pottery shows, I had a partner, so we would take turns. Hope you did well.❤

Thankfully my sister was there to help me but it was still very busy, If she hadn't have been there I wouldn't have been able to talk to anyone for very long and that would have felt awful since some people came to see me. My sister was a rock star to be there for me!

I love the 'behind the scenes' of a show like this. I am an organizaton fanatic so I love the file folder system and how it moves seamlessly form storage/travel box to display/sales area. Also love the multi use of boxes for storage/travel/display. Obviously your products are fantastic but if people are not drawn into your booth or find it awkward to shop (especially if you are busy with someone else) they will just move on. You are well on your way to resolve any obstacles to a smooth and fun shopping experience. I agree about feature lighting - sounds like a project for Mr Technology! Great job!

Ok this is amazing. We started watching the video 35 minutes ago and there were 39 views, i turned this on my tablet (different account) to bump the like and view counts and there’s 610 views already. GO ARA! One of these years we’ll come to the Dallas show.

Hello Ara! Don't worry about the quality of audio and video, it's GOOD enough: good lighting, loud and clear audio, all is nice and smooth. In this digital era we all are expecting way too much in terms of video quality, there is no real need for all this super-hyper-extra-mega quality. And your content is awesome so I personally would watch it even if the quality would be lower than this. Thank you for sharing with us your passion and your expertise. 🙂

The first time l ever saw that cat clock was when my future husband and his Mother took me to meet his Grandparents. She had the black cat one and it freaked me out how the eyes where.

Found your films resent. Live in Sweden and have just started this christmas with doll houses, yes now three. Love your wonderful creations and I learn so much from you. Wow! It's really impressive that you made an entire kitching and dining room box FILLED with kits you also made. That one kitchen kit is a showcase of your talents and hard work. The show seems like a ton of work! I hope it gets easier every year. I think it would be cool if you spray painted your peg board you use to display the kits. It would contrast the kits and add a pop of color. I'm interested to see your set-up next year with the addition of the lights.

Cat clock! Nice touch! My grandparents (bought their first house in 1928)had a kitchen that hadn’t changed since the 1930s (they did get a fridge). You nailed it. Even the hexagon floor tile. They had it in the bathroom, and the tiles were smaller, but it was a vibe from back then. I love your stuff!

Your organization of your items is brilliant. I've gone to shows and when items are displayed and you wish to buy one, either the owner or the table helper often have to comb through boxes and boxes to find the item. I've actually been told to give them a few minutes and come back for the item. So your way of setting up your items is wonderful! I find that if things are organized well, I tend to shop at that table. Thanks for the vlog. I think you're wonderful and I wish you came to NJ to our dollhouse show. (Although I would probably buy one of everything.....)

I am so glad you liked how it was set up! I had a couple years of figuring out the best way to display kits. If I only have samples, people were wanting to buy the samples, if I only had kits out, people didn't know what they would look like in the end! SO I had to find an in-between solution. I would love to travel to other mini shows in the future! That would be a dream!

First of all…. Breathe! If you’re busy with life, like this show, just post a short and sweet video that you will be away, but rest assure that you will be back soon to continue with your wonderful crafting shows. Next, I very much love your floor coverings in both your kitchen & dining rooms. Only thing, you might be looking at a lawsuit for the trip hazard at the stairs with the carpet. Perhaps, if you have more material and some free time, you might make a carpet runner to go down the center of the steps. I also like the folding steps and pans that you have placed under the sink! This house is very charming and your machines really bring out your creativity! Thanks for sharing!

My mother was born in 1933, the last of her parents' four children. A lot of their kitchen and dining room furniture and accessories weren't changed (no reason to replace what's not broken!) so your set looks very much like things I remember!

Oh my goodness that's a packed Vlog!!! Congratulations on the successful doll show. And the new haul looks pretty wonderful. The children's book omg how wonderful!! It's amazing how many people got into miniatures during lockdown. People like you made it bearable and even enjoyable.. To have a children's book come out of it is fabulous. I really thought you had stopped selling the fireplace room in full size, it was always sold out. I figured it was discontinued. Now i need to see if i can save up money That 30's kitchen is so cute!!

Haha, yeah I can't keep the fireplace room in stock most of the time. The problem is storing the cardboard takes up a lot of space so I can only make a certain number at a time. Hopefully one day I will have a larger space where I can store more! The cardboard House will forever have a special place in my heart because of that time. It's something I never want to go through again, but our creative community definitely made it bearable! Thank you RecoveringSoul!

I'm sure having your frames in the kitchen room box spurred ideas for the frames. Gosh Ara, one of the first videos I watched was your Dallas Miniature Haul many years ago. At the time I had no idea there were miniature shows and had only some vague ideas as to what I wanted to do with my idea of a dresser turned midwest prairie 40s to 80s "farmhouse" (the idea is where I grew up and the way people's homes were a mishmash of many generations of heirlooms) You've changed a lot and I've learned so much from all of everything. Thank you for sharing Ara's world with us. As frantic as you may feel, it's always like checking in with a friend. I just wanted to step through the screen and say "here I am, how can I help you most " 😂 Thank you so much!!! You're "Awesome Ara"

Wow your display looked great! So glad you had a successful show. Your hard work and organizational skills payed off. Love how Stormy is walking around like a general manager in a factory supervising and make sure you are staying on track😂. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully one day I might make the Dallas show. Any show would me nice. I use to go to the one in New Orleans since it was only a couple of hours away but they struggled to get it back going after Hurricane Katrina way back in the day!

Congratulations on a successful show and your new book! 🥳 I appreciate your dedication to making sure your kits are up to snuff!. The first kit I did was a gift, and it was made by another company. There are some gaps, and not all the furniture was to the same scale. 🙄 Your sink kit went together like a dream, and everything looks perfect together. 🥰 I will be ordering more from you when I clear out my project backlog a bit. You were wise to adjust your goals so you wouldn't be completely overwhelmed- I need to do that more often than I do! The kitchen room box display turned out great, and if the missing spoon turns up, you could still glue it in later. 😊 You never know.

Thank you for your kind words about my kits Laura! I have done a few in the past as well that didn't go together well and I thought "Isn't that the point of the kit? Everything is already cut correctly and slides together easy?" So I decided mine were going to do that ;) Still haven't found the spoon😄 I think it's gone to live with all the lost socks🤷‍♀️

As a new viewer and new to the world of miniatures, I found this very enjoyable to watch 😊. I don’t think I need to get into a new crafting adventure right now, but I’m so tempted. I’ve always loved working in miniature scale. At 67 with cataracts forming, maybe I should limit it to crafting vicariously. Although making some small clay food items and animals would be a nice start ….AAAAAGH!

I absolutely love how the kitchen came out it's so cute. I'm obsessed with vintage kitchens and will be redoing my actual kitchen vintage soon and in my dolls house that too is getting a vintage kitchen but have to wait for my son to get back from Belgium as the kitchen I like is in a game and I need him to get me pictures of it 😂😂😂.

Ara, congratulations on a successful show; I know you worked extremely hard to make it so. Your organization just stunned me. In my dreams, I am only a quarter of that level of organizing. But it shows in the quality of your kits… your organizational skills and the attention to detail. You did a great job at vlogging, sharing the behind the scenes of preparing for the show. Also congratulations on your story book! Who knew miniatures led to publishing in a difficult genre. My fingers are itching to get busy working on my thirties kitchen.

Wanted to say thank you for all the hard work you put in! I just completed my MFA in Scenic Design with The University of Washington School of Drama which meant three years of many late nights building 1/4 scale set models. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve played your videos to feel like I had someone working along with me!

This was so much fun to see...Thank You Ara for sharing all your extremely exciting and fascinating news. And Wow a childrens book! 🫶🏽 Love creative writing. Especially children's stories💖 So much to talk about from this.. 😮new table kit..on my wish list😄.. along with the fireplace room, I hopefully will be able to get this year ..oh and It was nice to see the fireplace room, was that the 1:12? I really got a great visual and sense of space 😊..I've watched the build a few times but sometimes its hard to get a good sense of size on video from the angles and views. I know it's good to be home..I could tell how exhausted you were ..but...Yaaay....so happy for you🥰💖

Thank you my friend!! Yep there is a lot going on around here lol! The cardboard room is the 1:12 scale room😊 and the 1:24 scale is done in matboard. It's wild just how small 1:24 looks next to the 1:12 lol! I can see why its hard to tell through the screen! Yes I am super happy to be back home and not prepping for something like that for a while! Phew!

Everything looked lovely Ara, I never noticed until the end of the video what pretty eyes you have. I really need to get some of your kits. I am plagerising your Alchemists lab quite heavily at the moment, even to the point of trying to dig out some buttons to make jar lids etc! Lol...loved that one, your creativity knows no bounds.

Wow, it's been a minute since I watched one of your videos and I'm really impressed at all of the ways you've worked your creativity into a business as well. Congratulations! I also LOVE your 1930s kitchen. You did a great job and capturing the vibe and colors and it looks VERY clean. The lines, everything looks like you really took your time to get angles correct and wallpaper/flooring perfect. I ' think ' you have a kit for that kitchen hutch with the flour dispenser built in. I'll have to order one from you! Not to sound too corny but I've been checking in on your channel for quite a while since you were much smaller and I'm just proud of you for creating your own little community and a thriving little business that can showcase your creative talent. It's no small feat to grow a substantial channel in the miniature world (even though I LOVE miniatures) so here are your flowers girl!

I wish I lived closer and was able to go to your show!!! I went to a miniature show for the first time in my state and it was very disappointing!!! All the tables were filled with overpriced Amazon, hobby lobby and temu items for sale. ☹️ I was like I literally just saw these items at hobby lobby for way less than what they were trying to sell them at. For their “homemade” stuff. Congratulations on all your success you definitely deserve it!!! ❤

You should use your airbrush for painting all those pieces. At least use it to put on a grey primer to make them easier to paint. ❤

I wish there was aa miniature guild near me in missouri. There is the st louis miniature museum and miniature show but thats about 3 hours away. Maybe one day youll open up a youtube miniature guild where any of us ither miniature youtubers could all do a project based on one of your designs. Count me in On that!!!!!!

busy busy! Hope you made lots of money. 🤑 The book is exciting, I remember that house. If you had a cat you would find the spoon eventually, cats are very helpful, then again they like to mess with interesting items which aren't so helpful.
