Well Elijah the hacksaw scared me and I've been waiting to see what you came up with. That being said, I should never have wondered. You hit a home run with this project, every part is fabulous, I really like the blued guard and the damascus is gorgeous. I won't leave out the handle either, the whole piece came together perfectly, very nice job.

It's describing the chamfered, proud fit of the handle wood to the bolster. Not sure where the term came from.
